Kvamskogen (lit. Kvam forest) is a mountain plateau in the Hardanger region of Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Samnanger and Kvam. Traditionally, the term was used only for the parts of the plateau located in Kvam municipality, but today it is used for the entire plateau. Kvamskogen contains several ski resorts, and more than 1700 cabins, the third highest concentration of cabins in the country. [1]

The administrative centre was the village of Kvam on the shore of the lake. Most of the population of Kvam municipality lived along the lake shore. Strandebarm is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The original municipality was large, spanning both sides of the central part of the Hardangerfjorden. It also included the island of Varaldsøy. Over time, the municipality was divided and by the time of its dissolution in 1965, it was 112 square kilometres (43 sq mi). The municipality included land in the present-day municipalities of Ullensvang, Kvam, and Kvinnherad. The administrative center of the municipality was the village of Bru, where Strandebarm Church is located.
Holmavatnet or Holmevatnet is a lake in the municipality of Kvam in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the north side of Kvamskogen, about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northwest of the municipal centre of Norheimsund. The western end of the lake is dammed for purposes of hydroelectric power generation.

Samnanger Church or Ådland Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Samnanger Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Ådland. It is one of the two churches for the Samnanger parish which is part of the Hardanger og Voss prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in an octagonal design in 1851 using plans drawn up by the architect Andreas Grønning. The church seats about 250 people.
Tørvikbygd is a village in Kvam municipality Hardanger, Vestland, Norway. The village is located on the west side of Hardanger Fjord, around 13 km south of the community center Norheimsund.
