Kvisla is a village in Hol municipality in Buskerud, Norway. [1]
Norwegian National Road 7 (RV7) runs through the village. Kvisla is located between Hagafoss to the northeast and Geilo to the southwest. It is located on the north side of Ustedalen, about eight kilometers northeast of Geilo. [2]

It is also known for having some of the most luxurious and expensive holiday cabins in Norway. The center of the town lies at 800 meters above sea level, and its highest point is 1178 meters above sea level.

Usta or Usteåne is a river located in the municipality of Hol in Buskerud, Norway. It flows from Lake Ustevatn traveling northeast down the valley of Ustedalen to its confluence with Holselva. The ski resort at Geilo is situated just north of the river, about halfway down Ustedalen valley. The valley stretches about 20 kilometres (12 mi) east from Ustevatn and meetings Holsdalføret below Hagafoss.

The lake is a reservoir for the Rud hydroelectric powerstation in Hovet, Buskerud. In 1952/1953 a dam was constructed which lifted the lake level 28 meters, thus the lake varies between 950 and 978 m above sea level.
