Kyle Edwards is an Anishinaabe writer from Canada, whose debut novel Small Ceremonies was published in 2025. [1]
A member of the Ebb and Flow First Nation in Manitoba, [1] he studied journalism at Ryerson University, and has published work for BBC News, Maclean's , Native News Online, CBC News and the Toronto Star . [2] He is currently pursuing his doctorate in creative writing at the University of Southern California. [2]
Small Ceremonies received a nomination for the Governor General's Award for English-language fiction at the 2025 Governor General's Awards. [3]
