The LOLI Database (an abbreviation for List of Lists) is an international chemical regulatory database that provides structured regulatory information on chemical substances. Originally developed and maintained by ChemADVISOR, Inc.. since its founding in 1986, LOLI has become one of the primary global sources for regulatory data used in authoring safety data sheets (SDS) and managing chemical compliance.

In 2017, ChemAdvisor was acquired by UL Solutions, which integrated the LOLI Database into its broader regulatory compliance software portfolio, now branded within the ULTRUS™ software suite.

Overview

The LOLI Database contains over 8,000 regulatory lists from more than 130 countries, covering hazard classifications, restricted substances, permissible exposure limits, and other compliance parameters. It is widely used by manufacturers, suppliers, and regulatory professionals to identify applicable regulations for individual substances or substance groups.

History

The LOLI Database was first released in 1986 alongside ChemAdvisor's regulatory consulting services. Over the decades, it grew in scope to cover a wide range of global environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.

In November 2017, UL Solutions acquired ChemAdvisor, incorporating LOLI and its associated software tools into its digital regulatory compliance services.
