LaVell Boyd (born September 12, 1976) is a former professional American football player.
Boyd is a graduate of Doss High School and was the all-time leading wide receiver in (Louisville) Jefferson County history. He later went on to the University of Louisville, where he finished his career number six on the all-time receptions list and helped lead his team to two bowl games. LaVell majored in Sociology and graduated from the University Of Louisville .
LaVell Boyd played for the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2000 NFL season. In 2001 he signed with the Miami Dolphins, where he was injured. In 2002 Boyd played with the Minnesota Vikings. The following season, Boyd played in NFL Europe with the Rhein Fire. [1] In 2004, he played for the Arena Football League's Georgia Force.
Boyd coached at Shawnee High School in Louisville, Kentucky for part of the 2007 season. He was soon hired as the varsity football coach at Western High School in Shively, Kentucky. [2] LaVell led the Warriors to the 2010 KHSAA State Semifinals and had Western High School ranked as a top five team in the State for the 2011 season. Boyd received the 2010 Coach of the Year Award. Powerhouse Western High School won four straight District titles and played for three straight Regional Championships winning 2010.
Samuel Adolphus Madison Jr. is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Louisville Cardinals, and was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 1997 NFL draft. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Madison also played for the New York Giants. He has won two Super Bowls, Super Bowl XLII as a player with the Giants and Super Bowl LIV as an assistant coach with the Chiefs.
David Wannstedt is a former American football coach. He has been the head coach of the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was also the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh football team from 2005 to 2010. He also was a long-time assistant to Jimmy Johnson with the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Hurricanes, and Oklahoma State Cowboys as well as an associate of Johnson when both were assistants at the University of Pittsburgh.
Kenneth Paul Karcher is an American high school football coach and former quarterback. He is the offensive coordinator for Albertville High School, a position he has held since 2023. He was the head football coach for Liberty University from 2000 to 2005 and East Central Community College from 2013 to 2022. He played college football for Tulane and professionally for the Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, and Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He also coached for Idaho State, North Texas, the Orlando Thunder of the NFL Europe, Pittsburgh, the Rhein Fire of the NFL Europe, Fellowship Christian School, Toledo, and Eastern Michigan.
Mike Shula is an American football coach who is the Offensive Analyst for the South Carolina Gamecocks of the South Eastern Conference (SEC). He played college football as a quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide and was the school's head coach from 2003 to 2006. He was the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1996 to 1999, the Carolina Panthers from 2013 to 2017, and the New York Giants from 2018 to 2019.

He held head coaching positions with the National Football League (NFL)'s Baltimore Colts and in college for the University of Miami, University of Oklahoma, University of Louisville, and Florida Atlantic University. Robert Patrick Petrino is an American college football coach who is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Arkansas. He served as the head football coach at Missouri State from 2020 to 2022. Petrino previously served as the head coach at the University of Louisville from 2014 until being fired during the 2018 season. He also held the post from 2003 to 2006. From 2008 to 2011, Petrino was the head coach at the University of Arkansas. He was dismissed from that position in the spring of 2012 for covering up an extramarital affair with an athletic department staffer. Petrino also coached the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) for the first 13 games of the 2007 season. He spent the 2013 season as head football coach at Western Kentucky and 2020–2022 seasons as the head coach at the Missouri State. He also was the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M in 2023.

Gailey has previously served as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and Buffalo Bills from 1998 to 2012.

Gruden is the younger brother of former NFL head coach Jon Gruden and was an assistant coach of the 2002 Buccaneers team that won Super Bowl XXXVII.
Kolby Kendrall Smith is an American former professional football running back and current coach who is an offensive assistant for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL draft after he played college football at Louisville. Smith was also a member of the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars. After his playing career he began coaching in the college ranks and as 2020 he returned to the NFL as a coach with the Dolphins.
Jeffrey Scott Brohm is an American college football coach and former professional quarterback. He is the head football coach at his alma mater, the University of Louisville, a position he has held since the 2023 season. Brohm played college football for the Louisville Cardinals under coach Howard Schnellenberger from 1989 to 1993. He played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons from 1994 to 2000 and the XFL in 2001. Brohm served as the head football coach at Western Kentucky University from 2014 to 2016 and Purdue University from 2017 to 2022.
The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers football program is a college football team that represents Western Kentucky University. Chuck Smith is a former American football coach. Smith served as the head coach at Boyle County High School, Campbellsville High School, and Allen County Scottsville High School. Smith also served as linebackers coach at the University of Kentucky. At Boyle County, Smith won six state championships and a KHSAA record breaking five in a row from 1999 to 2003. Smith is highly regarded as one of the best football coaches in Kentucky high school football history.
