LaVonda Wagner (born April 24, 1964) is the former head coach of the Oregon State Beavers women's basketball team and is an FSN television analyst for WNBA games. [1] She was fired from Oregon State on June 1, 2010, in the wake of a turbulent offseason that saw multiple player and assistant coach departures. [2]
LaVonda Wagner was born in 1964 in Bristol, Virginia. She attended Mars Hill College in North Carolina, where she earned a bachelor's degree in physical education. She was also a star for the women's basketball and volleyball teams, and earned All-America honors in both sports from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). In 1998, she was inducted into the college's sports hall of fame. In 1988, Wagner earned a master's degree in athletic administration from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). From 1988 to 1994 she was the top assistant coach and recruiter for ETSU in women's basketball. From 1994 to 2002 she was an assistant coach for the University of Illinois women's basketball team; in 2000 she helped garner one of the top five recruiting classes in the nation for Illinois. From 2002 to 2005 Wagner was an assistant coach at Duke University, which featured one of the top-rated women's basketball programs in the nation.
Wagner joined the Beavers for the 2005–06 season, making a ten game improvement from the previous season and ending the year with a 16–15 overall record and a postseason Women’s NIT berth. [1] Her team went 9–19 in the 2006–07 season, and improved to 12–19 in 2007-08. [3] Before her firing in 2010, her contract with the Beavers had been extended through 2012. [4]
Nicole Kristen Powell is an American basketball coach who was the head women's basketball coach at University of California, Riverside. As a player, she had a standout collegiate career at Stanford University, Powell had an 11-year WNBA career most notably with the Sacramento Monarchs where she was an All-Star and won a WNBA Championship. Powell also played professionally overseas for Fenerbahçe Istanbul. Powell had previously served on the coaching staffs at Gonzaga, Oregon, and Grand Canyon before being named the head coach of UC Riverside in March 2020.
Suzie McConnell-Serio is a former American women's basketball coach and player. She was the head coach for the women's basketball team at the University of Pittsburgh from 2013 to 2018. In 2004, she was named WNBA Coach of the Year as coach of the Minnesota Lynx. She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008.
The Oregon State Beavers are the athletic teams that represent Oregon State University, located in Corvallis, Oregon. Patrick Michael Casey is an American college baseball coach who was the head coach for the Oregon State Beavers baseball team. He is best known for winning the 2006 College World Series for the Beavers' first-ever baseball National Championship. The following year, he led the Beavers to a repeat championship in the 2007 College World Series, the first unranked team in history to accomplish this feat. He retired from Oregon State after winning his fourth championship in the 2017, 2018 College World Series.

He was a star forward as a player at Princeton University in the early 1980s and a bond trader during the 1990s. He currently is the Executive Director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He is former First Lady Michelle Obama's brother.

Lyle Moevao is a former professional and college football quarterback for the Oregon State Beavers football team. He played professionally in France for the La Courneuve Flash and Japan. Moevao was the starting quarterback for Oregon State for the 2008 season, throwing for 2,534 yards and 19 touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 128.41. He also helped the Beavers to a 3–0 victory in the 2008 Sun Bowl against the Pittsburgh Panthers.

They finished the season 26–8, 14–4 in Pac-12 play to finish in a tie for third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 women's tournament to Arizona State. They received an at-large bid of the NCAA women's tournament where they defeated Western Kentucky and upset Tennessee in the first and second rounds, Baylor in the sweet sixteen before getting blown out by Louisville in the elite eight.
