La conferencia secreta del Toto's Bar is the third studio album by Uruguayan rock band Los Shakers. It was released in December 1968 on the Odeon Pops label. [1] It has been called the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band of Latin America. [2]
According to writer Abril Trigo the album combines "the band's old passions for bossa nova and jazz (what they called calimbo) with popular traditional local genres like tango, candombe, and murga, and includes some powerful arrangements á la John Coltrane and bandoneón solos á la Astor Piazzolla". [3]
All tracks are written by Hugo Fattoruso and Osvaldo Fattoruso, except where noted.

The most distinctive music of Uruguay is to be found in the tango and candombe; both genres have been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Uruguayan music includes a number of local musical forms such as murga, a form of musical theatre, and milonga, a folk guitar and song form deriving from Spanish and italian traditions and related to similar forms found in many American countries.

Attaque 77, sometimes stylized as A77aque, is an Argentine punk rock group. The band was formed in 1987 as a group of friends who got together to play their favorite songs, most of them by The Ramones, their favorite band and the one that influenced them the most. They started writing songs in the same punk rock style, with lyrics with proletarian content, and wore denim jackets, which became one of their hallmarks in their beginnings. Currently, only three members continue performing and recording.
Omar Ruben Rada Silva is a Uruguayan percussionist, composer, and singer. He is closely associated with candombe, a genre built around a chorus of tamboriles, Uruguayan barrel drums. Rada has recorded more than thirty albums. His music, labelled candombe beat, combines pop, rock, and other styles with Uruguayan sounds, such as candombe drums and murga choruses. Rada has composed some of Uruguay's most cherished songs.
Los Shakers were a popular rock band in the 1960s and was a part of the Uruguayan Invasion in Latin America. They were heavily influenced by the look and sound of The Beatles. In the late 1960s they would broaden and expand their musical direction before breaking up in 1969.
Ahí Vamos is a 2006 studio album by Argentine rock musician Gustavo Cerati. The album was met with both positive reviews by critics and popularity, especially in Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Mexico. The first single released from the album was "Crimen", which received airplay starting in April 2006 and gained huge popularity in Latin America and Spain.
