Lady Detective is an Indian Telugu-language detective fiction television series directed by Vamsy. [2] It aired on ETV from 1996 to 1997, with episodes broadcast every Thursday from 8:30 to 9:00 PM. The series features Uttara in the lead role as Sodhana, a private detective, supported by Sakshi Ranga Rao and Rama Prabha as her assistants. [3] The show garnered significant popularity and was well received during its original run. [4] [5]
The series follows Sodhana, a private detective who tackles various societal issues by investigating cases at a detective bureau. Each episode features a new case, with Sodhana assisted by two comedic characters: Baby, a female assistant dressed in a schoolgirl-style skirt; and Bobby and a male assistant in a suit, tie, and hat. These assistants often create humorous situations by unintentionally complicating the investigations, adding a lighthearted element to the series.
The serial was shot outdoors and some scenes were filmed indoors at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. [5]

N. T. Rama Rao (1923–1996), commonly known by his initials NTR, was an Indian actor, screenwriter, director and producer who worked primarily in Telugu cinema. After his debut in Mana Desam (1949) and his first lead role in Palletoori Pilla (1950), Rama Rao's performance in the fantasy film Pathala Bhairavi (1951) made him famous. His other films with Vijaya Vauhini Studios, Malliswari (1951) and Pelli Chesi Choodu (1952), were also successful, causing him to become the industry's "top star" according to Ashish Rajadhyaksha and Paul Willemen in the book Encyclopedia of Indian Cinema. He also took his first steps into film production by forming the National Art Theatre production studio in 1953.
Vamsy is an Indian film director, screenwriter, littérateur, composer, poet, producer, actor and cartoonist known for his works in Telugu cinema, and television. He got breakthrough with Sitaara (1984), which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 32nd National Film Awards.
Siri Siri Muvva is a 1976 Indian Telugu-language drama film written and directed by K. Viswanath. It stars Jaya Prada and Chandra Mohan. K. Ranga Rao made his film debut in 1967 with Sakshi from which he derived his stage name. He then went onto to appear in successful films like Sirivennela, Swarna Kamalam, April 1st Vidudhala, Joker and Swarabhishekam.
Anveshitha is an Indian Telugu-language supernatural drama that aired on ETV from 1997 to 1999.
