Andaz Apna Apna is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Vinay Kumar Sinha. It stars Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor in lead roles. The film was released on 4 November 1994 and the plot elements of the film were later used in other language films such as Ullathai Allitha (1996), Veedevadandi Babu (1997) and Galate Aliyandru (2000), though none being a frame-to-frame remake. Although the film was a semi-hit at the box office, the film has emerged as a cult film over the years. The lexicon of the film has become part of everyday and ordinary language. The climax of this film is a rehashed version of the climax of a 1972 film Victoria No. 203.

Om Shanti Om is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language masala film written and directed by Farah Khan, co-written by Mayur Puri and Mushtaq Shiekh, and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. Spanning three decades, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan as Om Prakash Makhija, a poor junior film artist in 1977, who falls in love with a secretly-married film actress Shantipriya, portrayed by Deepika Padukone. Her husband and a film producer Mukesh Mehra, played by Arjun Rampal, betrays her and murders her in a fire. Om witnesses this and is severely injured while trying to rescue her, resulting in his death as well. Being reborn as rich superstar Om Kapoor in 2007, he sets out to seek revenge from Mukesh with the help of Shanti's doppelganger Sandy. Shreyas Talpade and Kirron Kher appear in the film as well and cameos from several Indian film celebrities are seen in several sequences and songs.
Kehta Hai Dil is an Indian soap opera that aired on Star Plus channel from 2 July 2002 to 29 March 2005, and is produced by UTV Software Communications. The story is based on the life of a girl named Karishma and portrays the dramatic events that occur in her life, which affect her entire family - who lives in the small, idyllic town of Anand Nagar. The series was initially based on the American CBS series Picket Fences. However soon the story was entirely deviated from Picket Fences.

The series, starring Sudesh Berry as CID Inspector Bharat Chatterjee in the main lead, was directed by Gautam Adhikari and produced by Shri Adhikari Brothers Limited. First season of the show premiered on Sony Entertainment Television on 20 November 2010 and ran for five years, ending on 11 July 2015. The series based events is produced by Contiloe Entertainment and stars Ronit Roy. The show aired 431 episodes in its first season. Adaalat returned for its second season on Sony Entertainment Television on 4 June 2016 and ended on 4 September 2016. The show aired 26 episodes in its second season.

At the time of 1993 Bombay bombings, Plaza cinema, Mumbai was also bombed where the movie was being shown, leaving 10 dead and 37 injured.
