Lair Geraldo Theodoro Ribeiro (born July 6, 1945) is a Brazilian cardiologist, nutrologist, self-help and physician writer. [1] He is the author of more than 100 scientific publications. [2]
Lair had the opportunity to live in the United States for 17 years where he worked at three American universities, Harvard Medical School, Baylor College of Medicine and Thomas Jefferson University. [1]
He has written more than 38 books, of which 15 are considered best sellers. [3] Twenty-six of his books about self-awareness and medical science have been translated into other languages, and are available in more than 40 countries. [1] His book "Success is no accident" (O sucesso não ocorre por acaso) has achieved best-seller status in Brazil. [4] In 2021, he published the book "Cancer – another vision" (Câncer – uma outra visão). [5]
He is an advocate of pseudosciences and alternative medicine as neuro-linguistic programming, coconut oil to cure cancer and miracle mineral supplement. [6] During the COVID-19 pandemic he recommended the use of chloroquine and ozone therapy. [7] [8]
He is currently delivering lectures and workshops around the world on personal and professional development and courses for health professionals specialized in nutrition and bioidentical hormones. João Agripino da Costa Doria Júnior is a Brazilian politician, businessman and journalist who served as Governor of São Paulo, from January 2019 to March 2022. He previously served as the 52nd Mayor of São Paulo from 1 January 2017 to his resignation on 6 April 2018. He was the first mayor in 24 years to be elected in the first round. Doria was a member of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB), and is known for having hosted the TV show O Aprendiz, a Brazilian version of The Apprentice. Doria resigned the office of mayor in April 2018 to run for Governor of São Paulo.

Miss Brazil 2006 was the 52nd edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. It was held on 8 April 2006 at Claro Hall in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil and was hosted by Nayla Micherif and Nivaldo Prieto. Carina Beduschi of Santa Catarina crowned her successor Rafaela Zanella of Rio Grande do Sul at the end of the event. Zanella represented Brazil at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant and placed in the Top 20. 1st Runner-Up, Maria Cláudia Barreto of Acre, represented the country at Miss International 2006. This year's pageant had Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005, as a special guest.
