Lake Horney, named for Julius Teague Horney, is a lake that is located in Polk County, Florida.
The lake is named after Julius Teague Horney (1888–1959), who helped develop Lakeland in the 1920s. [1]

While the city of Davenport itself is very small, the area north of the city close to Interstate 4 and US 27 is experiencing explosive growth. Per the City Charter, Mayor Robinson beat former Mayor Darlene Bradley capturing 69.8% of the vote in the municipal election in April 2019.

Lake Hunter, a pear-shaped lake, has a surface area of 93 acres (380,000 m2). This lake is inside Lakeland, Florida, and the area surrounding it is completely urbanized. It is bordered on the northeast by residences and the Lake Hunter Boat Ramp. On the lakes's north and west it is bordered by Sikes Boulevard and on the south and southeast by Lake Hunter Drive. The Lake Hunter Terrace Historic District borders the lake along Sikes Boulevard.

State Road 659 (SR 659) is a 7.625-mile-long (12.271 km) state highway in Polk County, Florida, that runs from U.S. Route 98 (US 98) and South Combee Road at Eaton Park to SR 33 and Village Lakes Boulevard in far northeast Lakeland via Crystal Lake and Combee Settlement.
