Lake Valencia, a natural lake located in Pinellas County, Florida, is the lake around which the Lake Valencia deed-restricted community of 291 homes was built. This lake is completely surrounded by residences and the west end can be accessed at Parson Brown Lane. [1] [2]
Lake Valencia only has access at Parson Brown Lane. Here a park bench overlooks the lake and the water's edge can be reached. A fountain is in the middle of the lake. However, no fishing, boating or swimming are allowed in this lake. [3]
Lake Orion is a village in the northern outskirts of Metro Detroit in Oakland County, Michigan, United States. The population was 2,973 at the 2010 census. "Lake Orion" can refer to either the village or the much larger Orion Township, of which the village is a part.
Pender Island is one of the Southern Gulf Islands located in the Gulf of Georgia, British Columbia, Canada. Pender Island is approximately 34 km2 (13 sq mi) in area and is home to about 2,250 permanent residents, as well as a large seasonal population. Like most of the rest of the Southern Gulf Islands, Pender Island enjoys a sub-Mediterranean climate and features open farmland, rolling forested hills, several lakes and small mountains, as well as many coves and beaches.

Fallen Leaf Lake is a mountain lake located in El Dorado County, California, near the California–Nevada state border, about one mile south west of the much larger Lake Tahoe. It is approximately aligned north-to-south and oval in shape, measuring approximately 2.9 miles (4.6 km) on the long axis and 0.9 miles (1.4 km) on the short axis. The lake was created by at least two glaciers that traveled northward down the Glen Alpine Valley. If the glacier had continued instead of stopping, Fallen Leaf Lake would be a bay of Lake Tahoe, similar to nearby Emerald Bay. A terminal moraine is visible at the north end of the lake on the northeast edge.
Mount Tire'm is a small 1,060-foot (320 m) mountain adjacent to Keoka Lake in the town of Waterford, Maine. The Daniel Brown Trail offers access to the summit; its trailhead is on Plummer Hill Road just northwest of the village of Waterford. Views on clear days near the summit include vistas of Keoka Lake and Pleasant Mountain, the home of the Shawnee Peak Ski Area.
Lake Wissota State Park is a 1,062-acre (430 ha) Wisconsin state park near the town of Chippewa Falls. The park is situated on the northeast shore of Lake Wissota, a reservoir on the Chippewa River. Camping, boating, and fishing are the most popular activities. Park lands are covered in a mix of pine/hardwood forests and prairie. Visitors can access the Old Abe State Trail and bike or hike 17.5 miles (28.2 km) to Brunet Island State Park.
Buffalo Pound Provincial Park is a provincial park located in southern Saskatchewan, Canada, about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north-east of Moose Jaw and 86 kilometres (53 mi) north-west of the city of Regina. Access to the park is from Highways 301 and 202.
Millcreek Canyon is a canyon in the Wasatch Mountains and part of Millcreek City on the east side of the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. It is a popular recreation area both in the summer and in the winter. It was named by Brigham Young on August 22, 1847, before all of the mills that were built in and below the densely forested canyon. It is home to two restaurants and six Boy Scout Day Camps.
Four Mile Lake is a lake in the city of Kawartha Lakes in Central Ontario, Canada. The lake is 3.56 kilometres (2.21 mi) northeast of Coboconk, Ontario and 2.08 kilometres (1.29 mi) west of Burnt River. It is one of the Kawartha Lakes series of lakes and is in the Great Lakes Basin.
Lake Harney, named for General William S. Harney, is a lake that straddles the county line between Volusia County and Seminole County, Florida, at the coordinates latitude 28°45’21.404", longitude 81° 03’36.019". It is fed by the Saint Johns River which flows through central Florida and feeds many of the nearby lakes such as Lake Monroe.
Tower Lakes can be considered either one or two lakes, since they consist of a north and a south lake joined by a narrow water passage. Tower Lakes is a landscaping feature of the Tower Lakes Adult Mobile Home Community, just north of Lake Wales, Florida. The mobile home park is just east of US Highway 27; the only park entrance can only be accessed from the highway. This mobile home park, for residents fifty-five years and older, contains approximately 500 mobile homes and about 1000 residents during the peak season for winter visitors. The community has a large clubhouse on the east side of Tower Lakes just south of where the two parts are joined. The water has a 4.1-acre (17,000 m2) surface area. The north lake has almost twice the surface area of the south lake. The north lake is shaped like a backwards small "y" and the south lake is shaped like a capital "R." The two lakes are joined at the center of the bottom of the "y" and the top of the "R."
Kelly Lake is rectangular in shape, but is about six times as long as it is wide. This lake is a manmade freshwater lake in south Lakeland, Florida. It appears to have been a mine excavation that was landscaped to become a lake. This lake has a 6.77-acre (27,400 m2) surface area. It is bounded on the east by a large strip mall and on the south by North Parkway Frontage Road, which is on the north side of Polk Parkway. On the west and north Kelly Lake is bordered by villas, which are listed as managed by Villas Associates Owners. Village Associates Owners maintains a tennis court on northeast edge of the lake and on the north side, at 570 Caribbean Drive, maintains a clubhouse and a swimming pool. The clubhouse is actually an island just off the north shore and a boardwalk connects it to shore. This island clubhouse is 65 feet (20 m) long and 55 feet (17 m) wide.
The White Memorial Foundation is an organization dedicated to environmental conservation located in Litchfield, Connecticut. The Foundation owns approximately 4,000 acres of wetlands and uplands, including recreational trails, two camping areas, and a conservation center dedicated to education, research, conservation, and recreation.
Whispering Hills is a neighborhood consisting of 615 homes within the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, Texas adjacent to the suburbs of Richardson and Garland. It is generally bounded by Buckingham Rd along the Richardson border to the north, to the east by the Garland border near Plano Rd, to the south by Walnut St, and to the west by the KCS Railroad and Audelia Branch Greenbelt near Audelia Rd.

Lena B. Smithers Hughes (1905–1987) was an American botanist who developed improved strains of the Valencia orange, a sweet orange that is grown in the United States mainly for the production of commercial orange juice. She was the first woman inducted into the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame and was also named to the Florida Women's Hall of Fame and the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame.
