The Lancaster Brewing Company is an American brewery and pub business that is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. [1]

History

Founded in 2001, the brewery and the restaurant [2] are located in the Edward McGovern Tobacco Warehouse, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. [3]

The brewery has produced more than twenty different beers since 1995. [4] [5] Its products are sold throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, with distribution in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. [6]

Grain Belt is a brand of beer brewed in the American state of Minnesota, by the August Schell Brewing Company. The beer has been produced in a number of varieties. Grain Belt Golden was the original style introduced in 1893. The current offerings are: Grain Belt Premium, first introduced in 1947; Grain Belt Premium Light; Grain Belt Nordeast, introduced on April 7, 2010; and the newest offering, Grain Belt Lock & Dam, introduced in 2016. It was originally produced by the Minneapolis Brewing Company which formed with the merger of four smaller brewers in 1891. Soon after introduction, Grain Belt became the company's flagship product. It was brewed at the original Grain Belt brewery in Minneapolis, Minnesota until 1976. A series of other owners followed, and Schell took over the product line in 2002.

Brewerytown is a neighborhood in the North Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. An unofficial region, Brewerytown runs approximately between the Schuylkill River's eastern bank and 25th Street, bounded by Montgomery Avenue to the north and Parrish Street to the south. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Most of the complex is now residences.

The Zoller Bros-Independent Malting Co. building is located at 1801 W 3rd St, Davenport, IA 52802 on the edge of an industrial area in the west end of Davenport, Iowa, United States. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 7, 1983. The 7-page National Register documents can be found by searching for "Zoeller" in the searchable table of the National Register database. In March 2023 Zillow stated the building had an assessed value of $166,000.

The Hamm Brewing Company Beer Depot in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, United States, is a warehouse listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Hamm's Brewery built their first cold-storage warehouse in East Grand Forks in 1890. In 1897, they moved to a larger depot, and then in 1907, they built the present building, which backed up to a railroad spur. The growing use of refrigerator cars at the end of the 19th century made it possible for more small breweries to ship their beer to larger markets. The Hamm's depot was one of six such cold-storage warehouses on DeMers Avenue in 1909.

Edward McGovern Tobacco Warehouse is a historic tobacco warehouse located at Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It was built about 1880, and is a 2+12-story, red brick building. It is six bays by three bays and has a moderate pitched slate covered gable roof with gabled dormers. Additions were made with the building about 1910 and about 1939. The building houses the Lancaster Brewing Company restaurant.

The American Brewing Company Plant, owned by the American Brewing Company, is a historic brewery complex at 431 Harris Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island that operated between 1892 and 1922. It is a well-preserved example of a state of the art late 19th century brewery building, its original functions still discernible in its layout. It was only used as a brewery until 1922, when it was shut down by Prohibition; it has served as a warehouse and storage facility for most of the time since. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
