Kersey won an NBA championship with the Spurs in 1999.

David Beale Morey was an American football and baseball player, coach of a number of sports, and college athletics administrator. He was an All-American football player for Dartmouth College in 1912 and a professional baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1913. Morey coached football and baseball at the Lowell Technological Institute, Middlebury College (1921–1924), Auburn University (1925–1927), Fordham University (1928), and Bates College (1929–1939). After leading small colleges to ties against college football powers Harvard and Yale, Morey was given the nickname, "David the Giant Killer" by Grantland Rice.

She was a member of the 2016 Women's National Baseball Team and currently plays slow pitch with the women's national Team Easton. She is also one of nine NCAA Division I players to hit a career .400 with at least 200 RBIs, 50 home runs and an .800% slugging percentage for her career.

Deltarune is a role-playing video game developed by Toby Fox. The player controls a teenage human, Kris, who is destined to save the world together with Susie, a monster, and Ralsei, a prince from the Dark World. During their quest to seal the "Dark Fountains", the group meet the inhabitants of the "Dark World", some of whom try to stop them. The combat system is based on bullet hell attacks the player must dodge. Similar to Undertale, enemy encounters can be resolved peacefully or through violence.

With the reintroduction of divisions for the first time since the 2013–14 season, the Lancers played in the North division. They finished the regular season 26–6, 15–1 in Big South play to win the Big South regular season championship. They defeated North Carolina A&T, USC Upstate, and Winthrop to win the Big South Tournament championship. As a result, the Lancers received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, the school's first-ever trip to the tournament, as the No. 14 seed in the South Region, where they lost in the First Round to Tennessee.
