Lanien Blanchette (born 1986 [1] ) is a politician from Saint Kitts and Nevis,who as of 2022 is serving as Speaker of National Assembly of Saint Kitts and Nevis. [2] [3] [4] [5]
She has bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Monroe College,New York. She graduated from bachelor of laws programme at the University of the West Indies,Cave Hill Campus in Barbados. She is a lawyer. [6]

The instrument of appointment of the Deputy Prime Minister can be found in the Constitution of St. Christopher and Nevis. The Deputy Prime Minister appointment can be revoked by the Governor General on the advice of the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
