On 27 November 2019, he was appointed as Minister for Energy On 12 August 2020, he was appointed as the minister of ports and shipping.
Rishad Bathiudeen is a Sri Lankan parliamentarian and former senior cabinet minister. He is the leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) Party, a registered political party in Sri Lanka.
