Laredo is the ninth studio album released by American country music artist Steve Wariner. His last release for MCA Records, it produced three chart singles on the Billboard country charts: "The Domino Theory" at #7, "Precious Thing" at #8, and "There for Awhile" at #17. After the final single charted, Wariner was dropped from MCA's roster. He later signed to Arista Records in 1991 for the release of his next album, 1991's I Am Ready .

Steven Noel Wariner is an American country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Initially a backing musician for Dottie West, Bob Luman, and Chet Atkins, he began recording as a solo artist in the late 1970s. He has released eighteen studio albums for multiple labels, including the Nashville divisions of RCA, MCA, Arista, and Capitol Records, along with his own SelecTone label. He has also charted more than fifty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, of which ten reached number one: "All Roads Lead to You", "Some Fools Never Learn", "You Can Dream of Me", "Life's Highway", "Small Town Girl", "The Weekend", "Lynda", "Where Did I Go Wrong", "I Got Dreams", and "What If I Said", a duet with Anita Cochran. Three of his studio albums have been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping 500,000 copies in the United States.

Randy Scruggs American musician

Randy Lynn Scruggs was a music producer, songwriter and guitarist. He had his first recording at the age of 13. He won four Grammy Awards and was twice named Musician of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards. He was the middle son of Earl Scruggs.

Tony Brown is an American record producer and pianist, known primarily for his work in country music. A former member of the Stamps Quartet and backing musician for Emmylou Harris, Brown has primarily worked as a producer since the late 1980s. He is known primarily for his production work with Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, and George Strait.

Garth Fundis is an American country music record producer. Active since the 1970s, Fundis has produced albums for several country artists, including Alabama, Don Williams, Trisha Yearwood, Sugarland, and Keith Whitley. has also served as a judge on the Colgate Country Showdown.

Eddie Bayers is an American session drummer who has played on 300 gold and platinum albums. He received the Academy of Country Music 'Drummer of the Year Award' for fourteen years, and has three times won the Nashville Music Awards 'Drummer of the Year'. He was also a member of two bands: The Players, and The Notorious Cherry Bombs.

David Paul Briggs is an American keyboardist, record producer, arranger, composer and studio owner. Briggs is one of an elite core of Nashville studio musicians known as "the Nashville Cats" and has been featured in a major exhibition by the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015. He played his first recording session at the age of 14 and has gone on to add keyboards to a plethora of pop, rock, and country artists, as well as recording hundreds of corporate commercials.
