Larry Daniel Collins (born August 8, 1955) is an American former professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL).
Collins was born and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Edison High School, where he played football and ran track. In football, he was a three-time All-City selection and rushed for over 1,000 yards in his junior and senior seasons. Collins was elected to the San Antonio Independent School District Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019. [1]
Collins was a member of the Texas A&I (now Texas A&M–Kingsville) Javelinas for four seasons. His first carry as a freshman was a 79-yard touchdown run against Jacksonville State. He was twice named to the Associated Press's Little All-America team, was named first-team All-Lone Star Conference three times and the conference freshman of the year, and helped the Javelinas to three NAIA national championships. Collins finished his collegiate career with 4,511 total yards, then a record for a Texas college football player. [1]
Collins was selected in the third round of the 1978 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. [2] Collins didn't play in 1979 but was signed by the New Orleans Saints midway through the 1980 season. [3] He was a member of the Boston Breakers of the United States Football League during the 1983 season.

Cleveland Everette Gary, also known as Cleveland Edward Gary, is an American former professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes. Gary was selected in the first round of the 1989 NFL draft by the Los Angeles Rams. He led the NFL in touchdowns in 1990 with 14. In 1992 he rushed for 1,125 yards and caught 52 passes.
Curtis Raymond Dickey is an American former professional football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons, spending most of his career with the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts before finishing his career with the Cleveland Browns. He played college football at Texas A&M University.

Gilbert Erwin Steinke was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach of at Texas A&I University—now known as Texas A&M University–Kingsville—from 1954 to 1976 after having played at Texas A&I and then professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles. Steinke led the Texas A&I Javelinas to six NAIA Football National Championships, in 1959, 1969, 1970, 1974, 1975, and 1976. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1996.
William Abb Cannon Jr. is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies.
Richard Powers is a former running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cleveland Browns and a former University of Michigan Wolverines football co-captain. In the NFL, he had a brief career with the Browns during their final season before they relocated to become the Baltimore Ravens. His career ended due to being lost in the shuffle when the Browns moved to Baltimore and changed coaching staffs. In college, he set the Michigan football freshman rushing record that stood for fourteen seasons, and as a sophomore was the leading rusher for the team during Desmond Howard's Heisman Trophy-winning season. With the Wolverines, he was a member of three consecutive Big Ten Conference football championship teams. In high school, he was the Parade All-American star running back of the two-time Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) football championship team at Buchtel High School, where he has returned to coach baseball and football.
