Larry Lewis (born October 30, 1957) is a college football coach and former player. Previously Lewis served as the head football coach at Idaho State and as an assistant coach at Weber State, Washington State and Colorado State. Lewis also played linebacker at Boise State from 1977 through 1980 and was a member of the Broncos' national championship team in 1980. [1]

Lewis was hired by Idaho State on November 23, 1998, to serve as their head coach after he served as an assistant for Mike Price for 18 years at both Weber State and Washington State. [2] During his tenure as the Bengals' head coach, he led the team to an overall record of 40 wins and 49 losses (40–49) and to a co-Big Sky Conference championship in 2002. [3] Lewis was fired from Idaho State, along with his entire staff, on November 20, 2006, after they won only two games during the season. [3]

The Idaho State Bengals football program represents Idaho State University in college football. The Bengals play their home games at the ICCU Dome, an indoor facility on campus in Pocatello, Idaho. Idaho State is a charter member of the Big Sky Conference in NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). As a senior at Idaho playing under head coach Larry Eustachy, Perry was the starting point guard on the 1991 Big Sky Conference Tournament championship team that appeared in the 1991 NCAA Tournament.

Jeff Banks is an American football coach and former player. He is the assistant head coach, tight ends coach, and special teams coordinator at the University of Texas, a position he has held since 2021. Banks served as the interim head coach at Texas A&M University at the end of the 2017 season coach in the Aggies in the 2017 Belk Bowl, following the firing of Kevin Sumlin. Following that, Banks became the special teams coordinator and tight end coach at the University of Alabama from 2018–2021 until being hired by new head coach at the University of Texas, Steve Sarkisian.

The University of Idaho's football program, nicknamed the "Vandals", began in 1893.
