Mike Solari (born January 16, 1955) is an American football coach and former player. Solari has previously worked for five other National Football League (NFL) teams, including a stint as offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs from 2006 to 2007. He played collegiately as an offensive lineman at San Diego State University.
Solari got his start as playing both ways at El Camino High School in South San Francisco, California (Class of 1973), where he was a standout, particularly on the offensive side of the ball (tackle). His next stop was as an offensive lineman at College of San Mateo. He then moved onto San Diego State, where his teammates included two other JC transfers, future NFL head coaches Herman Edwards and John Fox.
After SDSU, Solari coached at the high school level in Southern California, for the Mission Bay Pirates in the Pacific Beach sector of San Diego, and as a wrestling and assistant track coach at Orange Glen High School in 1978–79. Next he began his college coaching career at nearby MiraCosta College, a community college in Oceanside. He then went to United States International University (USIU) as an assistant football coach on Tom Walsh's staff.
Solari spent time at Boise State, Cincinnati, Alabama, Kansas and Pittsburgh as assistant football coach.
He was with the Dallas Cowboys as assistant offensive line coach and special teams coach.
Solari joined the San Francisco 49ers in 1992 as tight ends coach and assistant offensive line coach. There he won a Super Bowl ring as a member of 1994 49ers coaching staff.
In 1997, he joined the Kansas City Chiefs as their O-line coach. And for many years, tutored some of the best lineman in the NFL, including Pro Football Hall of Famers Will Shields and Willie Roaf. Upon the retirement of Dick Vermeil and the signing of incumbent OC Al Saunders by Washington, Solari was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2006. After the conclusion of the 2007 season, Solari was fired by the Chiefs following a 4–12 season and was replaced by former Georgia Tech head coach and long-time NFL coach Chan Gailey. [1]
Solari joined the Seahawks staff in 2008, he changed its offensive line scheme to more zone blocking. [2]
On January 21, 2010, Solari was named offensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers. [3]
Solari joined the Packers staff as an offensive line assistant following the 2014 season. [4]
On January 21, 2016, Solari was hired by the New York Giants as offensive line coach. [5]
On January 15, 2018, Solari was rehired by the Seattle Seahawks as their offensive line coach. [6]
On February 5, 2023, Solari returned to the Dallas Cowboys, being hired as the team's offensive line coach. [7]
He is married to wife Patti and has three children; Tamara, Stephanie and Michael.
Michael George Holmgren is an American former football coach and executive in the National Football League (NFL). He began his NFL career as a quarterbacks' coach and later as an offensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers, where they won Super Bowls XXIII and XXIV. He served as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1992 to 1998, where he won Super Bowl XXXI, and of the Seattle Seahawks from 1999 to 2008. His last role in the NFL was as team president of the Cleveland Browns from 2010 to 2012. Prior to his career in the NFL, Holmgren coached football at the high school and collegiate levels.

Kyle Michael Shanahan is an American professional football coach who is the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He came to prominence as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, whose offense in 2016 led the league in points scored and helped the team reach Super Bowl LI. Shanahan became the head coach of the 49ers the following season, whom he has led to three division titles, four postseason appearances, four NFC Championship Game appearances, and two Super Bowl appearances.
Gil Haskell is a former American football coach. A longtime assistant coach in the National Football League (NFL), he served as the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks from 2000 to 2008. He began his career in the NFL as a ball boy with the San Francisco 49ers while his uncle, William O'Grady, was a part owner of the franchise. Haskell grew up in St. Brendan's Parish in San Francisco and graduated from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in 1961. He played college football at San Francisco State University where he graduated from in 1966. He then coached football and track and field at both Archbishop Riordan High School from 1966 to 1968 and St. Ignatius from 1969 to 1977 where he was head coach of the football team. Haskell was later recognized by the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame for his coaching contributions at both schools in 2018. Haskell then left for University of Southern California (USC), spending five seasons there as an assistant coach. He broke into the NFL as a coach in 1983 with the Los Angeles Rams, coaching special teams, running backs and tight ends for nine seasons. In 1992, he joined the Green Bay Packers where he became part of Mike Holmgren's staff for the first time as a running back coach and wide receiver coach. When Holmgren left Green Bay for the Seattle Seahawks in 1998, Haskell accepted the offensive coordinator position with the Carolina Panthers. In 2000, he reunited with Holmgren in Seattle in the same role. He has indicated that he would like to be a head coach in the NFL and even launched a low key campaign for the Oakland Raiders position when the Raiders fired Norv Turner after the 2005 season. That position was eventually filled with the hiring of Art Shell.
Gregory Fishbeck Knapp was an American professional football coach in the National Football League (NFL). He served as an assistant coach for 25 seasons with the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. He played college football and later coached at California State University, Sacramento.
Adam Walter Stenavich is an American football coach and former offensive tackle who is the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as an assistant coach for the San Francisco 49ers, San Jose State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Michigan.
Joe Barry is an American football coach who is the linebackers coach and run game coordinator for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). Joseph Anthony Philbin is a senior offensive assistant for the Las Vegas Raiders. He served as the offensive line coach for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins, a position he held from 2012 to 2015. Philbin was also the offensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers from 2007 to 2011, helping them win Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Most recently, Philbin served as interim head coach of the Packers for the final four games of the 2018 season after serving as the offensive coordinator for the first part of the season.

Benjamin Lee McAdoo is an American football coach, currently serving as a senior offensive assistant of the New England Patriots in the National Football League (NFL). McAdoo was most notably the head coach of the New York Giants from 2016 to 2017, after serving as their offensive coordinator the previous two years under former head coach Tom Coughlin. He was fired from that position on December 4, 2017 following a 2–10 start, along with benching longtime starting quarterback Eli Manning. At the time of his termination, his 28 regular season games were the fewest by a Giants coach since 1930. Prior to working for the Patriots, McAdoo had also served as an assistant coach for several college football teams, as well as for the New Orleans Saints, the San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Carolina Panthers.

He has previously spent time as quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers, the offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, and four seasons as head coach of the San Diego Chargers from 2013 to 2016.
Michael Lee McDaniel is an American professional football coach who is the head coach of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). A former long-time assistant and descendant of the Shanahan coaching tree, McDaniel began his NFL coaching career as an intern for the Denver Broncos in 2005. McDaniel served as an assistant coach for the Houston Texans, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, and San Francisco 49ers from 2017 to 2021, holding his first offensive coordinator position in 2021. McDaniel has appeared in Super Bowl LI with the Falcons in 2017, and Super Bowl LIV with the 49ers in 2020 as an assistant coach alongside Kyle Shanahan.
Daniel Patrick Quinn is an American professional football coach who is the head coach of the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He has been active in the NFL since 2001, most prominently as Atlanta Falcons head coach from 2015 to 2020. His career in coaching began in college football, spent mostly with the Hofstra Pride in the late 1990s. Quinn has been a defensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets, and as defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, Florida Gators, and Dallas Cowboys. Prior to coaching, he competed in the hammer throw and played football at Salisbury University.
Matthew Patrick LaFleur is an American professional football coach who is the head coach of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He has served as the quarterback coach of the Washington Redskins, Notre Dame, and the Atlanta Falcons and has been the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams and the Tennessee Titans.
Timothy David Drevno is an American football player and coach, who is currently serving as the quality control coach at the Ohio State University. Prior to this role, Drevno served as the offensive line coach at the UCLA and USC. From 2015 to 2017 he served as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at the University of Michigan. From 2011 to 2013, he was the offensive line coach of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). Prior to his tenure with the 49ers, Drevno worked as a football coach at several other National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) institutions, including Stanford University, where he was the offensive line coach from 2007 to 2010. Drevno played college football as an offensive lineman at California State University, Fullerton.
Klint Alexander Kubiak is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He has coached in the NFL and college following his playing career at Colorado State University. Kubiak served as Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator in 2021. He is the son of Gary Kubiak, former head coach of the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos.
