Lars Jacobsson (born May 11, 1965) is a Swedish entrepreneur, [1] inventor, [2] philanthropist, and conservationist.
Jacobsson initially worked in the petroleum industry, [3] where he was involved in starting up storage, trading and shipping companies, as well as being the inventor of the oil Contango market in the early 1990s. [4] [5] [6]
In early 2000s he sold his oil related businesses. [7] [8] Since 2005, he started up two solar energy companies. [9] [10] In 2010, Jacobsson founded United Sun Systems International, a London-based company which develops solar energy technology. [11]
Together with his wife Ragnhild Jacobsson, he founded The Perfect World Foundation, a non-profit and independent Swedish based organisation that promotes conservation. In 2014 the organisation held the fundraising gala and wildlife and environmental conference [12] in favour of the endangered rhinos and elephants, with participants from all over the world. Jacobbson and his wife are ambassadors at the London-based organisation Elephant Family to save the asian elephants. [13] [14] [15]
On June 7, 2015 at a private event in Stockholm, Jacobsson and his wife, on behalf of The Perfect World Foundation, honored Jane Goodall with "The Fragile Rhino" prize along with naming her Conservationist of the Year for 2015. [16]
In September 2016, they organised a fundraising event "Save The Elephant", a ball with participants from all over the world. During the event, Richard Leakey, behind the largest ivory burning ever in Kenya, [17] was awarded "The Conservationist of the Year 2016" by the organisation's new ambassador, Sarah, Duchess of York. [18]
The Progress Party, commonly abbreviated as FrP, is a right-wing political party in Norway. The FrP has traditionally self-identified as classical-liberal and as a libertarian party but is generally positioned to the right of the Conservative Party, and is considered the most right-wing party to be represented in parliament. It is often described as moderately right-wing populist; this characterization has also been disputed in both academic and public discourse. By 2020, the party attained a growing national conservative faction. After the 2017 parliamentary election, it was Norway's third largest political party, with 26 representatives in the Storting. The Socialist Left Party is a democratic socialist political party in Norway. Positioned on the left-wing of the political spectrum, it is opposed to European Union and the European Economic Area membership. SV supports a strong public sector, stronger social welfare programs, environmentalism, and republicanism. As of 2018, the party has 11,385 members; the number has steadily increased since a low point in 2015. The party leader is Audun Lysbakken, who was elected on 11 March 2012.

Vigrid is a Norwegian neopagan sect founded by Tore W. Tvedt in 1998 that combines racial theories with Norse mythology. The group is widely regarded as neo-Nazi, and is considered to have an "extremely racist and violent ideology" by the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST). The group is known for their ceremonies and rituals including "baptisms". In 2009 the group registered as a political party and ran for the parliamentary election in one county, receiving 179 votes. The group was disbanded from 2009 to 2013, but has since resumed activities in a limited form, and "now orients its online operations towards an alt-right audience".
Mette Frederiksen is a Danish politician who has served as Prime Minister of Denmark since June 2019, and Leader of the Social Democrats since June 2015. The second woman to hold either office, she is also the youngest prime minister in Danish history.
Arne Johannes Myrdal was a Norwegian local politician and later a convicted anti-immigration activist. He also saw himself as a very religious man. He had a varied working career, including as a military officer and businessman. He was active in local politics for the Labour Party in the 1960s, until he broke out and founded the local "Øyestad Free Labour Party". In 1981, he came in the public spotlight for having co-written a highly controversial local history book for Øyestad.

The Perfect World Foundation is a non-governmental organisation that raises awareness and supports efforts to prevent the global ecological crisis. The organization was founded by Ragnhild Jacobsson and Lars Valentin Jacobsson in 2010. The organization conducts ten annual events as part of its strategic plan "The Final Count Down". The events commenced in 2020 with the "Climate Aid" event in Gothenburg, Sweden.
General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 1 November 2022, except in the Faroe Islands, where they were held on 31 October as 1 November was a national day of mourning for victims at sea. Of the 179 members of the Folketing, 175 were elected in Denmark proper, two in the Faroes and two in Greenland. The elections were called on 5 October following an ultimatum to the government by the Social Liberal Party due to the outcome of a report on the 2020 Danish mink cull by the Mink Commission, which was critical of the government. Voter turnout was 84% in Denmark, 48% in Greenland, and 71% in the Faroes with a combined turnout of 84% for the Realm as a whole.

Theresa Birgitta Brønnum Scavenius is Danish politician. She is an associate professor at Aalborg University Copenhagen with climate politics as her research area. She is a member of the green political party The Alternative, and was a candidate at the 2019 Danish general election, but did not get elected. She was a candidate to succeed Uffe Elbæk as political leader of the party, when he resigned in February 2020, but lost to Josephine Fock.
Anja Ringgren Lovén is the founder of the charity organization DINNødhjælp, which has been protecting and rescuing children accused of being witches in Nigeria since 2012. Lovén became known in 2016 when a photo from one of her rescue actions for witch children went viral In the picture, Anja squats in front of a small naked and starved boy, whom she gives water with her water bottle. Anja subsequently took the boy to a children's center in Nigeria, where he miraculously survived. She named him Hope, and the rescue operation became a major catalyst in Lovén's struggle to tell the rest of the world about witch children and the superstition that prevailed in Nigeria.
