Latino Perspectives Magazine was a monthly American magazine for English-speaking Hispanic Americans. Founded in September 2004, print publication ended in 2013. In 2016, Latino Perspectives was relaunched by Panorama Media as an online magazine.
Latino Perspectives was founded in September 2004 in Phoenix Arizona, by Ricardo Torres and published by Latino Perspectives Media. [1] Its audience was primarily located in the Southwestern United States.
In its first year, Latino Perspectives was run by editor James E. Garcia. Garcia, contributing writer Anita Mabante Leach and creative director Charles Sanderson. It received honors from the Arizona Press Club in May 2005.
The print version of Latino Perspectives stopped after the December 2013 issue. In 2016 it was re-launched as an online magazine by Panorama Media.[ citation needed ]

Vibe is an American music and entertainment magazine founded by producers David Salzman and Quincy Jones. The publication predominantly features R&B and hip hop music artists, actors and other entertainers. After shutting down production in the summer of 2009, it was purchased by the private equity investment fund InterMedia Partners, then issued bi-monthly with double covers and a larger online presence. The magazine's target demographic is predominantly young, urban followers of hip hop culture. In 2014, the magazine discontinued its print version.

Robert Julio Garcia is an American educator and politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 42nd congressional district since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 28th mayor of Long Beach, California from 2014 to 2022. He was both the city's youngest and first elected openly LGBT mayor, as well as the first Latino to hold the office. He is the second person of color to be mayor of Long Beach, after Republican Eunice Sato, a Japanese-American who served from 1980 to 1982. A former member of the Long Beach City Council, he was vice mayor from 2012 to 2014.
Latino Americans make up an increasing share of the United States (U.S.) electorate. A record 29 million Latinos were eligible to vote in the 2018 midterm elections, accounting for 12.8% of all eligible voters, a new high. They made up an estimated 11% of all voters nationwide on Election Day, nearly matching their share of the U.S. eligible voter population.

Latinx is a neologism in American English which is used to refer to people of Latin American cultural or ethnic identity in the United States. The gender-neutral ⟨-x⟩ suffix replaces the ⟨-o/-a⟩ ending of Latino and Latina that are typical of grammatical gender in Spanish. Its plural is Latinxs. Words used for similar purposes include Latin@, Latine, and the simple Latin. Related gender-neutral neologisms include Xicanx or Chicanx.
