Baseball5 (B5) is a variation of baseball and softball. The teams switch roles upon the elimination of three offensive players, with an "inning" being completed when both teams have played offense once. There are five players on each team and five innings, with any ties being broken by playing extra innings as necessary, and games generally lasting 15 to 20 minutes. Unlike baseball/softball, there is no pitcher, with the batter starting each play with the ball.
