Laura Watton (born 2 August 1979) is a semi-professional UK manga artist and founding member of Sweatdrop Studios. Watton was a member since its inception until 2010, announcing the decision to create works under 'Pinkapplejam.com'. She self-publishes her series Biomecha. Currently residing in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England Laura creates freelance illustrations.
Watton has been part of the anime scene since the early 1990s, entering artwork and letters to such magazines as Super Play and Anime FX, the fanzine Red Leopard and provided the covers for Anime Connect 1–3. In 2001 she joined up with other comic creators Hayden Scott-Baron/Dock, Sam Brown/Subi and Foxy in founding one of the largest UK Manga art collectives, Sweatdrop Studios [ citation needed ].
Laura has produced a number of comics including Pinkaa Fairy, which features in the Sweatdrop anthology 'Sugardrops' (2004), [1] 'Different for girls' which featured in the anthology 'Stardust' (2006) [2] and Steaming, co-written by Aleister Kelman, which featured in the anthology 'Blue is for Boys'. In 2006, Laura was one of the winners of the Neo magazine manga competition, with her short comic Sea Bream Dream. [3] She has also published a graphic novel volume of Biomecha ( ISBN 978-1-905038-12-1), her manga style comic which was shortlisted for the 2007 Eagle Awards. [4] She also achieved a runner-up position in the 3rd Rising Stars of Manga United Kingdom and Ireland competition. [5] Watton was also one of the head contributors to 'Draw Manga Sweatdrop Studios' for New Holland Publishers (UK) Ltd. [6]
Katsuhiro Otomo is a Japanese manga artist, screenwriter, animator and film director. He is best known as the creator of Akira, in terms of both the original 1982 manga series and the 1988 animated film adaptation. He was decorated a Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2005, promoted to Officier of the order in 2014, became the fourth manga artist ever inducted into the American Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2012, and was awarded the Purple Medal of Honor from the Japanese government in 2013. Otomo later received the Winsor McCay Award at the 41st Annie Awards in 2014 and the 2015 Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême, the first manga artist to receive the award. Otomo is married to Yoko Otomo. Together they have one child, a son named Shohei Otomo, who is also an artist.
Manga are comics or graphic novels originating from Japan. Most manga conform to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century, and the form has a long history in earlier Japanese art. The term manga is used in Japan to refer to both comics and cartooning. Outside of Japan, the word is typically used to refer to comics originally published in the country.

Vieceli started co-writing webcomic BREAKS with Malin Ryden in 2014 and was the writer for the Life Is Strange comic adaptation. Bleeding Cool described her as being "embedded into British comic books" and having a "forte" for writing teenage relationships in 2019.

Kud Wafter is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Key, released on June 25, 2010, for Windows. Kud Wafter is Key's eighth game, along with other titles such as Kanon, Air, and Clannad. Key released a version of Kud Wafter without the erotic content, and the game was ported to the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita. The story follows the lives of high school students Riki Naoe and his close friend Kudryavka Noumi as they start to see more of each other in a romantic relationship. The gameplay in Kud Wafter follows a branching plot line which offers pre-determined scenarios with courses of interaction, and focuses on the appeal of the title character Kudryavka, also known as "Kud" for short.
