Lauren Adrienne Lapomarda (born May 10, 2002) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Serie B Femminile club Parma. She played college soccer for the Texas Longhorns, for which she is the record appearance holder.

Early life and college career

Lapomarda grew up in Prosper, Texas, the younger of two children born to Larry Lapomarda and Adriana Lazo. [3] She is of Hispanic and Italian descent and holds American and Italian citizenship. [4] [5] Her sister, Katie, played college soccer at San Diego. [3] Lapomarda began playing soccer at age three. [4] She played prep soccer at Prosper High School and club soccer for Solar SC. She won the USSDA under-16/17 national championship in 2019, with her club team led by her future Texas teammates Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars. [3] [6]

Texas Longhorns

Lapomarda played five seasons for the Texas Longhorns, making a program-record 102 appearances (97 starts) and scoring 4 goals between 2020 and 2024. [3] [5] In her senior season, she contributed to a program-record stretch of more than six games without conceding a goal. She then helped Texas win the 2023 Big Ten tournament, being named to the all-tournament team after assisting Trinity Byars in a 1–0 semifinal win over Texas Tech and defeating BYU 3–1 in the final. [3] [7] In her fifth season, she was given freedom to contribute more offensively and doubled her career scoring output with two goals and five assists. [3] [8] She also helped lead Texas to victory in the 2024 SEC tournament (in their first season in the conference), scoring a golden goal in a 2–1 semifinal win against Arkansas to advance to the final, where they beat South Carolina 1–0. The 2024 SEC women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southeastern Conference held from November 3 to November 10, 2024. The tournament was held at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Florida. The twelve-team single elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Georgia Bulldogs are the defending champions. The Bulldogs were unable to defend their crown as the seventh seed, losing to second seed Arkansas in the Quarterfinals. third seed Texas went on to win the tournament with a 2–1 overtime victory over Arkansas in the final. The conference championship is the first SEC title for the Texas women's soccer program, and first for head coach Angela Kelly. However, Kelly has won four previous SEC tournament titles with Tennessee. This is Texas' fourth overall conference title, as the won three Big 12 tournament titles before moving to the SEC. As tournament champions, Texas earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic berth into the 2024 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.

Madelynn Jewel Anderson is an American soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper. She played college soccer for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, where she was named SEC Goalkeeper of the Year in 2024.
