Laurie Moe Buckhout (born 1961) is an American official of the United States Department of Defense. She served as Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy from March to September of 2025. [3] She was the Republican nominee for North Carolina's 1st congressional district in 2024,narrowly losing to incumbent Don Davis. [4]
