Lawrence Roeck is a Canadian director, screenwriter and film producer known for Diablo and The Forger .

Early life and career

At a very young age, his family moved from Calgary to California. [1] His filmmaking career began in Alberta during the early 1990s by shooting videos with friends just out of high school. [2] While in California, he worked as a video journalist for FOX and CBS News. [1] [3]

In 2015, Roeck won Best Feature at the San Diego Film Festival for his second feature film, Diablo , starring Scott Eastwood, Walton Goggins and Danny Glover. [4] He had previously worked with Eastwood on his first feature, The Forger alongside Lauren Bacall, Josh Hutcherson, and Hayden Panettiere. [5]

The Forger

On February 27, 2009, Roeck faced legal action after investors sued him for $1.17 million. The suit was filed at the Los Angeles County Superior Court stating that he was paid a salary and made use of company assets without their consent. [6]

The film is produced by Michael-Ryan Fletchall and Craig Comstock, directed by Lawrence Roeck, and written by Carlos De Los Rios.

<i>Storm</i> (1987 film) 1987 Canadian film

Storm is a 1987 Canadian drama film and first feature starring David Palffy and Stan Kane directed by David Winning. The film was the debut of director Winning. Two college students on a survival weekend in the wilderness cross paths with three aging criminals looking for treasure buried decades earlier. Made in 24 days on a budget of about $70,000 CDN. The original 81-minute film was filmed near Bragg Creek, west of Calgary, in the summer of 1983, with an initial cast and crew of 10 people. It was released by Warner Home Video on September 1, 1988. Director Winning appears in a small cameo as the younger villain.

Clint Eastwood has had numerous casual and serious relationships of varying length and intensity over his life, many of which overlapped. He has eight known children by six women, only half of whom were contemporaneously acknowledged. Eastwood refuses to confirm his exact number of offspring, and there have been wide discrepancies in the media regarding the number. His biographer, Patrick McGilligan, has stated on camera that Eastwood's total number of children is indeterminate and that "one was when he was still in high school."

Stephen Campanelli is a Canadian movie cameraman and film director. He has been a long-term member of Clint Eastwood's film production crew.
