Lawrence Vavra (born 15 November 1977) is an American Media Entrepreneur and Private Equity Investor. [3] [4] Vavra is best known for co-founding music management company SFX Entertainment and Deckstar. [5] [6]
Vavra graduated from UCLA undergrad in 1999 and Hastings Law School in 2002 where he received his Juris Doctor. After graduation, Vavra created the San Francisco based company Vintage415. [7]
In early 2002 upon his return to Los Angeles, Vavra began working with DJ AM. The two had known each other through mutual friends and reacquainted through Vavra's brother. The two quickly built up DJ AM's [8] career giving validity to the DJ art form and paving the way for many of today's DJ acts. Together they opened up the popular night clubs LAX in both Los Angeles, as well as Las Vegas. Vavra also established DJ AM as the first Las Vegas resident DJ at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, before re-negotiating AM's biggest career move to The Palms Casino Resort where he became the highest paid DJ. The two remained close friends and business partners until DJ AM's tragic death on August 28, 2009. [9]
Vavra is the co-Founder and president of DECKSTAR, a company he started with Paul Rosenberg, Matt Colon and DJ AM in 2006. [10] [11] [12] The company merged with British Management company James Grant in 2017. [13] [14]
Vavra has also produced MTV's Gone Too Far [15] [16] and Fuse's Hoppus On Music. Vavra was responsible for producing the first ever Electronic Dance Music performance at the 2012 Grammy Awards.
The company SFX Entertainment, now known as LiveStyle quickly raised $250 million to create the Live Nation of Electronic Dance Music, culminating in an initial public offering on October 9, 2013 on the NASDAQ, valuing the company at over $1B. [17] Vavra and the Gabriel Moreno sued co-founder Robert Sillerman for fraud, and breach of partnership. [18] The suit was subsequently settled in 2016 for an undisclosed amount. [19]
Travis Landon Barker is an American musician who serves as the drummer for the rock band Blink-182. He has also performed as a frequent collaborator with hip hop artists, is a member of the rap rock group Transplants, cofounded the rock band +44, and joined Box Car Racer, Antemasque and Goldfinger. Robert Francis Xavier Sillerman was an American businessman and media entrepreneur. Sillerman was the owner of a range of television and radio stations during the 1970s and 1980s, In 1993 he formed SFX Broadcasting, and then built SFX Entertainment—a concert and stage performance promoter that was sold to Clear Channel in 2000 for $4.4 billion. He refounded SFX Entertainment in 2012 as a promoter of electronic music festivals; that company is now known as LiveStyle. He is also the founder of Viggle and the namesake of The Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy at Brandeis University. Once on the Forbes 400 list, he also briefly owned the WLAF's New York/New Jersey Knights.

The Committee is an EDM event production group founded in 2006 as Committee Entertainment by Sebastian Solano, Paul Campbell, Lukasz Tracz, and Patryk Tracz. At the time all four founders were friends and college students in Florida, and they originally started the Committee as an informal party promotion team. Since then, Committee Entertainment has founded the Dayglow tour series and Life in Color, an international EDM concert company. After jointly selling Dayglow/Life in Color to SFX Entertainment in 2012, all four members remained partners, and as of 2015 they continue to operate both Life in Color and Committee Entertainment. On January 5, 2015, Forbes included Life in Color CEO Solano on their annual list of "30 Under 30 In Music" for 2015.
Michael Fiebach is an American entrepreneur and businessman; he is the founder of Fame House, an e-commerce and digital marketing agency focused on the music industry with clients such as Eminem, Tiesto, Pearl Jam, Ice Cube, and Amanda Palmer. Fiebach sold Fame House to SFX Entertainment in 2013 for an undisclosed sum. In May of 2016, Universal Music Group acquired Fame House from SFX, and Fiebach remained as the CEO. Fiebach worked for the electronic music producer DJ Shadow from 2006–2010, running his online operation and merchandise business. Fiebach wrote a series of blog entries for Hypebot.com about his experience touring with DJ Shadow in 2010.
Russell Faibisch is an American music festival producer and concert promoter. He is the co-founder of the Ultra Music Festival, an outdoor electronic music festival in Miami, and creator with Andrés Cisneros of the Ultra Worldwide brand. He is CEO, President, and Executive producer of the Ultra organization, and is also the chairman of the board, upon which and Adam Russakoff serve. Currently, Faibisch presides over an international chain of branded music festivals, concerts, and events, which include editions spanning across Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, South, and North America, plus globally syndicated radio broadcasts, an online YouTube channel, music films, and premieres. In April 2016, Ultra Music Festival won the DJ Mag award for “World’s Number 1 Festival,” which was voted on by over 500,000 fans worldwide. In 2008, Ultra was also given the DJ Award for “International Dance Music Festival." In 2014, Faibisch was ranked #6 on Rolling Stone’s “Most Important People in EDM List." Later that year, Billboard named Faibisch and business partner Adam Russakoff on the “EDM Power Players - Executives List. In 2016 and 2017, both Faibisch and Russakoff were again named on Billboard’s annual “Power List of DJs and Executives." In 2017, Magnetic Magazine named Faibisch the "Industry Person of the Year."
