Diana Ordóñez (born 1987), known professionally as LEDANIA, [1] is a Colombian multimedia artist based in Bogotá. Known mostly for her graffiti murals, LeDania also works in photography, graphic design, advertising, artistic makeup, and decorative items such as clothing and accessories. [2]

Career

LeDania is most known for her positive and vibrant graffiti murals, [3] most of which locate in Chapinero, a neighborhood on the north side of Bogotá. [4] Her graffiti often features animals and insects from Tasmania, [5] in addition to other mythological, magical, or autobiographical symbols.[ citation needed ]

Other than graffiti, LeDania's figurative works derive from three different artistic movements: expressionism, cubism, and surrealism. [6] The Museum of Contemporary Arts of Bogotá first exhibited LeDania's artwork in 2005. [7] Her work was displayed in 2019 at the Street Lynx Bta, a gallery space representing dozens of Bogotá-based artists. [8]

Personal life

LeDania's father is an artist and her mother an artisan. She graduated with a master's degree in plastic and visual arts from the Pontifical Xavierian University in 2010.

RISK, also known as RISKY, is a Los Angeles–based graffiti writer and contemporary artist often credited as a founder of the West Coast graffiti scene. In the 1980s, he was one of the first graffiti writers in Southern California to paint freight trains, and he pioneered writing on "heavens", or freeway overpasses. He took his graffiti into the gallery with the launch of the Third Rail series of art shows, and later created a line of graffiti-inspired clothing. In 2017, RISK was knighted by the Medici Family.

Ganzeer is the pseudonym used by an Egyptian artist who has gained mainstream fame in Egypt and internationally following the 2011 Egyptian Revolution. Prior to the revolution, Ganzeer's popularity was widespread yet limited to the spheres of art and design. Ganzeer's artwork has touched on the themes of civic responsibility and social justice and has been critical of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, or SCAF, which has ruled Egypt since the February 2011 resignation of former president Hosni Mubarak. ROA is a graffiti and street artist from Ghent, Belgium. He has created works on the streets of cities across Europe, the United States, Australia, Asia, New Zealand and Africa. ROA generally paints wild or urban animals and birds that are native to the area being painted. ROA usually uses a minimal color palette, such as black and white, but also creates works using vibrant colours depicting the flesh or internal systems within the animals and birds.
