Lebesby (Northern Sami : Davvesiida) is a village in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located on the shore of the Laksefjorden, along Norwegian County Road 888. The population was 85 in 2015. [2] The village is about half-way between the villages of Ifjord and Bekkarfjord, about 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of the municipal centre of Kjøllefjord. Lebesby Church is located in the center of the village. [3]

The 0.45-square-kilometre (110-acre) village has a population (2023) of 836, which gives the village a population density of 1,858 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,810/sq mi) and makes it the largest village in the municipality and one of the largest fishing villages in Finnmark county.

The village of Gamvik lies about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) to the east and the village of Kjøllefjord lies about 30 kilometres (19 mi) to the southwest. Mehamn Chapel is located in this village. Laksefjorden is a fjord located entirely in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. At 72 kilometres (45 mi) long, it is the third-longest fjord in Finnmark county after the Porsangerfjorden and Varangerfjorden. The fjord is situated in a sparsely populated area, with only few and small settlements along the fjord, including Lebesby, Kunes, Ifjord, and Veidnes. The fjord is surrounded by the Sværholt Peninsula to the west and the Nordkinn Peninsula to the east, and it empties to the north into the Barents Sea. Norwegian County Road 888 follows the southern and eastern shoreline of the fjord.

Nordkinnhalvøya is a peninsula in Finnmark county, Norway. It is the northernmost part of mainland Europe. The peninsula is shared between Lebesby Municipality and Gamvik Municipality. Human settlement is mostly concentrated on the northern shores and at the base of the peninsula, while the middle parts of the peninsula are sparsely inhabited. The main villages on the peninsula are Mehamn, Gamvik, and Kjøllefjord—all located on the northern shore. Slettnes Lighthouse near Gamvik is the northernmost lighthouse on mainland Europe.

Kjøllefjord Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kjøllefjord. It is one of the churches in the Lebesby parish which is part of the Hammerfest prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, stone church was built in a long church style in 1951 using plans drawn up by the architect Finn Bryn (1890-1975). The church seats about 300 people.

Lebesby Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Lebesby. It is one of the churches for the Lebesby parish which is part of the Hammerfest prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The brown, wooden church was built in a rectangular style in 1962, eighteen years after the old church was burned down during the German withdrawal from Finnmark during World War II. This church was designed by the architect Odd Borgrud Pedersen. The church seats about 170 people and it was consecrated in 1962.

Kunes Chapel is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kunes. It is an annex chapel for the Lebesby parish which is part of the Hammerfest prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The small chapel was built in 1982 and it serves the southern part of the municipality of Lebesby.

Ifjord is a village in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located at the bottom of Ifjorden, a branch of Laksefjorden. The village lies about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the southeast of the village of Lebesby and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) to the northeast of the village of Kunes.
