Due to financial problems that the district faced, the Board of Education decided to close the school and dissolve the district. After deciding to move the high school students to the elementary/middle school building for the 2014-2015 school year [2] , the territory of the district was absorbed by Berkshire High School for the 2015-2016 school year. [3] Ledgemont had also discussed being absorbed by the Madison and Cardinal school districts. [4]
