Lee started bowling when he was 14 years old, and was selected to join the national team in April 2001. His first major tournament was the 2001 SEA Games, where he won a bronze medal in the Trios event. Upon his return, he won the Cathay Bowl Junior Classic and dedicated his win to his father who had died weeks earlier. Lee then went on to win the Champion of Champions title.
His run continued into 2002 with a victory at the Vietnam Open. Lee then hit his career high, winning a Gold medal for Trios (with Remy Ong and Sam Goh) at the 14th Asian Games.
Since then he has won the prestigious Qatar Open (2005) (with a cash prize of US$40000) as well as the 39th edition of the Singapore Open (2006).
Although that meant the start of a 3-year title drought, but he emerged once more at the 40th Singapore National Championship as Champion over Remy Ong in 2009.
In addition to his love of all sports, Lee's other passions include singing and dancing. He was a cast member in The Toy Factory's productions of Army Daze and Spring Singing.

Rony Agustinus is an Indonesian former badminton player, who now works as a badminton coach. As a junior player, he represented his country at the 1996 World Junior Championships and won the bronze medal in the boys' singles event. In 1997, he finished as a semi-finalist at the French and Indonesia International tournaments. He took the silver medal at the 2000 Asian Championships but was defeated by his teammate Taufik Hidayat in the final. In 2001, he reached the final of the 2001 Malaysia Open as an unseeded player, defeating a former All England champion Pullela Gopichand of India, his compatriot Hendrawan, the world champion, Park Tae-sang of South Korea, and Chen Hong of China en route to the final. He failed to win the title after he lost to host player Ong Ewe Hock. Agustinus played at the 2002 Busan Asian Games, and helped the team win the silver medal. He was also part of the national team that won the 2002 Thomas Cup.
Della Lee is a Singaporean former professional squash player who currently serves as the coach of the Singapore women's squash team. She has represented Singapore at few international competitions including the Women's World Team Squash Championships, Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games and in the Asian Squash Championships. She reached her highest career PSA world ranking of 66 in May 1999.
Liza del Rosario is a Filipino ten-pin bowling player. She won the Trios Gold medal at the 2003 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur. It was the first gold medal for the Philippines in the world championships in 20 years. She won the Singles and All Events gold medals at the 17th Asian Championships in Hong Kong in 2002.
Badminton was introduced to Singapore by the British in the early 19th century. By the mid-1920s, the game became increasingly popular and spread quickly to the rest of the local population. Amid the rising popularity, badminton enthusiasts began forming clubs, or “parties”, to meet and play the game. It was during this period that the Singapore Badminton Association (SBA) was established to promote the sport and organise competitions. The first official annual open championships was held in that period with the best players from the tournament such as E. J. Vass, Tan Chong Tee, Alice Pennefather and Ong Siew Eng were chosen to represent Singapore in the regional tournaments.
