Legends of Motorsport is a rock band formed in Hobart and based in Melbourne, Australia. [1]

Legends of Motorsport have released three albums. The first was Dual Fuel which was a compilation of their Beef With Cheese and Legends Of Motorsport EPs. Their second was Remnants From The Big Bang (2006) released on Reverberation [2] [3] [4] and featuring cover art by Peter Bagge. [5] The third, released in November 2009, is entitled Yeah Uh Huh. New LP entitled "Survival of the Fittest" is out April 2016 on Cobra Snake Necktie records.

Legends of Motorsport have played at the Big Day Out [6] and Meredith Music Festival [7] and have supported Queens of the Stoneage, Mudhoney, Beasts of Bourbon and Magic Dirt. [8] [9] [10]

The Legends played the Last Big Bang on 1 April 2017. [11]

Kiyoyuki Yanada is a freelance Japanese voice actor who was formerly affiliated with Kyu Production, 81 Produce, and D-COLOR. As a child, he wanted to be a physical education teacher before becoming a voice actor in 1987. The first role he auditioned for was Shutendouji in Ronin Warriors. He has taken over some of the roles from the late Yō Yoshimura and Kazuyuki Sogabe. His hobbies include driving and sports such as baseball, soccer and karate.

The Grates Australian indie rock band

The Grates were an Australian indie rock band that formed in Brisbane, Queensland in 2002. They were brought to national attention in 2004 when a demo of their single "Trampoline" received airplay on radio station Triple J. Their first two albums, Gravity Won't Get You High (2006) and Teeth Lost, Hearts Won (2008), both reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 10. Hodgson and Patterson were also proprietors of Southside Tea Room, a cafe and bar, in Morningside; the couple also married in November that year.

Tex Perkins Musical artist

Gregory Stephen Perkins, better known by his stage name Tex Perkins, is an Australian singer-songwriter who fronted the Australian rock band The Cruel Sea, but has also performed with the Beasts of Bourbon, Thug, James Baker Experience, The Butcher Shop, Salamander Jim, and Tex, Don and Charlie. He has also released many solo records. In 1997, a portrait of Tex Perkins by artist Bill Leak won the Packing Room award at the Archibald Prize.

Ralf Scheepers Musical artist

Ralf Scheepers is the vocalist for the German heavy metal band Primal Fear. He has a relatively high-pitched tenor-esque singing voice and sometimes uses a shriek reminiscent of Judas Priest's Rob Halford, although it is his baritone lows which give him a near four-octave range in the modal register. He has also sung in Gamma Ray and Tyran' Pace. Scheepers has also done guest vocals for the bands Scanner, Therion, Ayreon, and Shadow Gallery, and worked with Tom Galley on Phenomena's Blind Faith album. He currently provides instruction for all around singing, music, studio and recording/processing techniques at RS Vocal Works in Baltmannsweiler, Germany. Writer Paul Stenning has described him as "the greatest example of strength in metal."

Starky were an Australian power pop band formed in 1998. The line-up was Beau Cassidy, Nick Neal, and Jonny Wilson (guitar). Their first single, "Rock 'n' Roll is the Devils Music", was released in 1999 by Phantom Records, they were named Best New Talent by Channel V, and received $50,000 for a music video. In October 2003 their debut album, Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre, was issued by Laughing Outlaw Records, which was produced by Rob Younger. It was the Feature Album on Australian youth radio station, Triple J.

Tyondai Braxton American composer and musician

Tyondai Adaien Braxton is an American composer and musician. He has been writing and performing music under his own name and collaboratively under various group titles and collectives since the mid-1990s, including in the experimental rock group Battles from its formation in 2002 until his departure from the group in 2010. He studied composition at the Hartt School of the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut with Robert Carl, Ingram Marshall, and Ken Steen.

The Drones were an Australian rock band, formed in Perth by mainstay lead vocalist and guitarist Gareth Liddiard in 1997. Fiona Kitschin, his domestic partner, joined on bass guitar and vocals in 2002. Other long-term members include Rui Pereira on bass guitar and then lead guitar; Mike Noga on drums, vocals, harmonica and percussion; and Dan Luscombe on lead guitar, vocals and keyboards. Their second album, Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By, won the inaugural Australian Music Prize. In October 2010 their third studio album, Gala Mill was listed at No. 21 in the book, 100 Best Australian Albums. Two of their albums have reached the top 20 on the ARIA Albums Chart, I See Seaweed and Feelin Kinda Free. The group went on hiatus in December 2016 with Kitschin and Liddiard forming a new group, Tropical Fuck Storm, in the following year.

Lisa Mitchell Australian singer-songwriter

Lisa Helen Mitchell is an Australian singer-songwriter who grew up in Albury, New South Wales. Mitchell currently lives in Melbourne and is working on her fourth studio album. Mitchell finished sixth in the 2006 season of Australian Idol. Her debut extended play, Said One to the Other, topped iTunes in Australia and she signed with London-based publisher, Little Victories, a subsidiary of Sony/ATV. By 2008 Mitchell had relocated to the UK where she recorded her debut studio album, Wonder, which peaked at No. 6 on the ARIA Albums Chart. She won the 2009 Australian Music Prize of $30,000 for the album. Mitchell returned to Australia to live in Melbourne. Her second album, Bless This Mess reached No. 7. In March 2015, Mitchell's last single "Wah Ha" was remixed by electronic trio Seekae. Her third album Warriors was released on 16 October 2016 and debuted Top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Bleu (musician) American singer-songwriter

William James McAuley III, best known by his performing name, Bleu, is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He has written and produced songs for Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, John Oates, Michelle Branch, Hey Violet, Big Freedia, and the Jonas Brothers, and has won multiple Independent Music Awards for his work with Air Traffic Controller.

The Kill Devil Hills are an Australian acoustic, country-tinged rock band formed in 2003 in Fremantle by founding mainstays Brendan Humphries and Steve Joines. They have released four studio albums, Heathen Songs, The Drought, Man, You Should Explode and In on Under near Water.

Lo Carmen Musical artist

Lo Carmen is an Australian singer-songwriter, musician, author and actress. Carmen has independently released seven solo albums in the Americana alt-country indie rock vein. In February 2022 her memoir Lovers Dreamers Fighters was published by Harper Collins. She has described the book as ‘more a cultural history than a memoir … It’s more a kind of love letter to all the musicians and women that have inspired me.’

Camila Grey American musician (born 1983)

Camila Grey is an American musician currently performing in the duo Uh Huh Her and also the supergroup Summer Moon composed of Nikolai Fraiture, Stephen Perkins, and Noah Harmon. Grey was formerly the bassist and keyboardist for the band Mellowdrone. She has also worked with such artists as Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Big Black Delta, Tricky, Linda Perry, Kanye West, Melissa Auf der Maur, Hans Zimmer, Kelly Osbourne, and Adam Lambert.

Spencer P. Jones Musical artist

Spencer Patrick Jones was a New Zealand guitar player and singer-songwriter from Te Awamutu. From 1976 he worked in Australia and was a member of various groups including The Johnnys, Beasts of Bourbon, Paul Kelly and The Coloured Girls, Chris Bailey and The General Dog, Maurice Frawley and The Working Class Ringos, and Sacred Cowboys. He also issued ten albums as a solo artist. In May 2012 Australian Guitar magazine rated Jones as one of Australia's Top 40 best guitarists.

Leadfinger

Leadfinger(pron: Led-finger) are an Australian rock’n’roll band formed in the city of Wollongong, New South Wales in 2006 by Glasgow-born singer/guitarist Stewart 'Leadfinger' Cunningham. The band has released 5 albums to date, with the most recent coming out in July 2016 through Conquest of Noise.
