[1] [2] Kachapizo was born on December 5, 1979, in Nakivubo Mews, Uganda. [3] She once worked as a TV and radio presenter on Bukedde TV, Sanyuka TV, and Dembe FM before moving to the United States. [4] [5]

Career

Kachapizo was born to a single mother, Hajjat Hamida Nalwoga, and had four siblings. [3] Kachapizo hails from Masaka district, Uganda; she attended St. Jude Primary School in Kampala and later studied at Pride Academy, where she discovered her passion for drama and acting. It was during her time at Pride Academy that she was noticed by Charles Senkubuge, the founder of Bakayimbira Drama Actors, who recruited her into the group. [2]

Kachapizo's career in entertainment grew as she toured with the Bakayimbira group, including a trip to the Netherlands, but she eventually returned to Uganda. She began working as a presenter at Radio Simba and later joined CBS Radio, a popular station in the central region of Uganda. After a brief time in Europe, where she did odd jobs and started hairstyling, Kachapizo was deported back to Uganda due to overstaying her travel visa in the Netherlands. Upon her return, she found work at Bukedde TV and, in May 2019, joined Sanyuka TV, but left due to dissatisfaction with the producers' expectations. [2]

Kachapizo's father, Hajj Abdul Kalanzi, died October 23, 2018 after battling an undisclosed illness. He was buried in Nkoowe village, Wakiso district. [5]
