Leinster League Division Three is the third division of the Leinster League and started in the 1994/95 season.

The number of teams was reduced from 14 to 13 in 2007/2008, and again from 13 to 9 in 2008/2009.

History

Ashbourne, Barnhall, Birr, Coolmine, CYM, Delvin, New Ross, Old Kilcullen, Railway Union, Tullow and Wicklow entered the division through the qualifying matches in the 1993/1994 season.

Old Kilcullen later amalgamated with Curragh RFC to form Newbridge and Delvin with Drogheda RFC to form Boyne.

    2007/2008 Season

    At the end of the season, Arklow, Clane, Clondalkin and Gorey were promoted to Division Two, with Railway Union being relegated from Division Two.

    Wicklow is the county town of County Wicklow in Ireland. Located south of Dublin on the east coast of the island, it has a population of 10,584 according to the 2016 census.     Sarsfields is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Newbridge in County Kildare, Ireland, winner of 24 Kildare Senior Football Championships. The club name is linked to Patrick Sarsfield's castle in the area and the colours, green with white sash, were based on the colours allegedly worn by Sarsfield's men. Paddy "Boiler" White was a member of the Kildare Gaelic football team of the millennium. Niall Buckley was an All Stars Award winner at midfield in 1997.     2011 OByrne Cup

    The 2011 O'Byrne Cup was a Gaelic football competition played by the teams of Leinster GAA. The competition differs from the Leinster Senior Football Championship as it also features further education colleges and the winning team does not progress to another tournament at All-Ireland level. The holders of the O'Byrne Cup were DCU. This edition of the O'Byrne Cup began on 9 January 2011.
