Shulamit Ran is an Israeli-American composer. She moved from Israel to New York City at 14, as a scholarship student at the Mannes College of Music. Her Symphony (1990) won her the Pulitzer Prize for Music. In this regard, she was the second woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music, the first being Ellen Taaffe Zwilich in 1983. Ran was a professor of music composition at the University of Chicago from 1973 to 2015. She has performed as a pianist in Israel, Europe and the U.S., and her compositional works have been performed worldwide by a wide array of orchestras and chamber groups.
Samuel Hans Adler is an American composer, conductor, author, and professor. During the course of a professional career which ranges over six decades he has served as a faculty member at both the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music and the Juilliard School. In addition, he is credited with founding and conducting the Seventh Army Symphony Orchestra which participated in the cultural diplomacy initiatives of the United States in Germany and throughout Europe in the aftermath of World War II. Adler's musical catalogue includes over 400 published compositions. He has been honored with several awards including Germany's Order of Merit – Officer's Cross.

Huw Thomas Watkins is a British composer and pianist. Carmen Petra Basacopol was a Romanian composer, pianist, musicologist and academic teacher. She taught at the National University of Music Bucharest, between 1962 and 2003, and at the Rabat Conservatoire in Morocco in the 1970s. As a musicologist, she achieved a PhD from the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1976, with a dissertation about three Romanian composers who had influenced her, George Enescu, Mihail Jora and Paul Constantinescu, composers representing essential features of Romanian music.
Nini Bulterijs was a Belgian composer. She was born in Temse, East Flanders, and studied piano with Jozef d'Hooghe and harmony with Yvonne van den Berghe at the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Antwerp. She continued her studies in composition with Jean Louel privately and with Jean Absil at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth.

Serves as Associate Professor in composition and theory at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Recipient of numerous awards, including: two Prime- Minister Awards for Composers; Two Acum Prizes, and the first prize at the RMN International Conposition Competition in London. Serves as a Board member of the Israeli Composers' League.

Hrachya Melikyan was an Armenian music composer and film composer. Hrachya Melikyan synthesized world music developments and national music particularities, forging his own characteristic and distinctive musical style. The majority of his compositions are instrumentals, including symphonic, chamber, as well as ensemble compositions. Melikyan also composed numerous choir compositions, romances, pieces for different instruments, as well as music to films including The Ingenious Peasant. He was a member of the Union of Composers and Musicologists from 1972 and the Vice President of the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Armenia from 1991 until his untimely death in March 2006.
