Lela Ivey (born June 26, 1958) is an American actress of film and television.
Ivey was born in New York City. She is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NYC).[ citation needed ]
She appeared in The Waiting Room at the Mark Taper Forum, for which she was nominated for an Ovation Award, and The Marriage of Bette and Boo at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, and was nominated for a Drama-Logue Award. At the Ipswitch Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, she appeared in Liberties Taken. [1] On television, she appeared in The Edge of Night for 141 episodes in the early 1980s, 6 episodes of Homefront in 1992 and 3 episodes of 'Party of Five in 1997, among other television and film appearances.[ citation needed ]
Ivey has served as an adjunct faculty member at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan and the Theatre Department at Michigan State University.[ citation needed ]

Homefront is an American television drama series created and produced by Lynn Marie Latham and Bernard Lechowick in association with Lorimar Television for ABC which aired from September 24, 1991, to April 26, 1993. The show was set in the fictional city of River Run, Ohio, in 1945, 1946, and 1947.
