Iberdrola is a Spanish public multinational electric utility company based in Bilbao, Basque Country. Iberdrola has a workforce of around 31,330 employees in dozens of countries on four continents serving around 31.67 million customers. Subsidiaries include Scottish Power (Scotland), Avangrid and Elektro Holding (Brazil), amongst others. The largest shareholder of the company was, in 2013, Qatar Investment Holding; other significant shareholders are Norges Bank, Kutxabank and Bankia.
Maple Ridge Wind Farm is the largest wind farm in the state of New York in the United States. Located on Tug Hill in Lewis County, the facility has 195 wind turbines. At full operation, the turbines can produce a maximum of 321.75 megawatts (MW) of electricity.
Hoosac Wind Power Project is a wind farm on Crum Hill in Monroe, Massachusetts and on Bakke Mountain in Florida, Massachusetts. Owned and operated by Iberdrola Renewables, it is the largest wind farm in Massachusetts, with 19 GE 1.5 MW wind turbines and a total installed capacity of 28.5 MW. The Hoosac Wind power project became fully operational in 2012, and provides enough electricity to power 10,000 homes annually.
Maranchon Wind Farm is located in Maranchón, Guadalajara, Spain. The "Maranchon Complex", as it is called, actually consists of seven smaller wind parks with a total capacity of 208 MW, and it was the largest in Europe for some time. It is owned by Iberdrola and was dedicated in May 2006.
Whitelee Wind Farm is the largest on-shore wind farm in the United Kingdom with 215 Siemens and Alstom wind turbines and a total capacity of 539 megawatts (MW), with the average of 2.5 MW per turbine. Whitelee was developed and is operated by ScottishPower Renewables, which is part of the Spanish company Iberdrola.
El Marquesado Wind Farm has a capacity of 198 megawatts (MW) and is Spain's second largest wind farm, located in Granada. With an annual output of 450 gigawatt hours, the El Marquesado complex encompasses four wind farms, each with a capacity of 49.5 MW. All four sites use Gamesa 2 MW turbines. The facility cost some EUR 250 million to develop.
Blue Sky Green Field Wind Energy Center is a wind farm in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. The 10,600-acre (4,300 ha) farm is located in the towns of Calumet and Marshfield in northeast Fond du Lac County. Owned by We Energies, it is the largest operating installation using wind power in Wisconsin.
The Shiloh wind power plant is a wind farm located in the Montezuma Hills of Solano County, California, USA, close to Bird's Landing and Collinsville, 40 miles (64 km) northeast of San Francisco. It has a nameplate capacity of 505 megawatts (MW) of power and was built in four stages between 2005 and 2012.
Klondike Wind farm is located in Sherman County, east of the small agricultural community of Wasco, in the north-central part of the U.S. state of Oregon. It was built in four phases and is owned and operated by Iberdrola. The first phase was built in 2001 and the latest in 2008.
The Hódmezővásárhely Wind Farm is an under construction wind power project in Csongrád County, Hungary. It will have 14 individual wind turbines with a nominal output of around 2 MW which will deliver up to 28 MW of power, enough to power over 11,077 homes, with a capital investment required of approximately US$45 million.
The 404 megawatt (MW) Peñascal Wind Farm is located in Kenedy County, Texas and was completed in April 2010 by Iberdrola.
Wind power in New Hampshire began in 1980, with the installation of the world's first wind farm at Crotched Mountain, consisting of 20 30 kW wind turbines, although it closed decades ago. Three wind power projects are operating in the state of New Hampshire – Lempster Mountain, which opened in 2008, Granite Wind, which opened in late 2011, and Granite Reliable Wind Farm - as of 2018.
The Locust Ridge Wind Farm is a large wind farm located near Mahanoy City in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. The first phase, Locust Ridge I, has 13 Gamesa 2MW Wind Turbines that began commercial operation in 2006. The wind farm has a combined total nameplate capacity of 26 MW, producing about 68,328 megawatt-hours of electricity annually, which is enough to power 24,000 homes.
The Casselman Wind Power Project is a wind farm in Somerset County, Pennsylvania with 23 GE 1.5 MW Wind Turbines that began commercial operation in 2007. The wind farm has a combined total nameplate capacity of 34.5 megawatts, but actually produces about 90,666 megawatt-hours of electricity annually. The wind farm was developed by PPM Energy and constructed by Iberdrola, based in Spain. Power produced at the wind farm is distributed by First Energy.
Dry Lake Wind Power Project in Navajo County is Arizona's first utility-scale wind farm. Phase 1 consists of 30 Suzlon 2.1 MW wind turbines, for a total nameplate capacity of 63 MW. Iberdrola Renewables built the wind farm for $100 million, and sells the output to Salt River Project.
West of Duddon Sands Wind Farm (WoDS), occasionally also known as West Duddon Wind Farm is an offshore wind farm located 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) south west of Walney Island off the coast of Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria, in the Irish Sea, England. It was developed by Scottish Power and Dong Energy.
Groton Wind Power Project a 48-megawatt wind farm, also known as Groton Wind Farm was constructed in 2012 in Groton, New Hampshire in the northeast United States. Owned by Iberdrola Renovables, it is the third major wind-power installation in the state of New Hampshire. Power is being sold to NSTAR under a power purchase agreement, and will go to the Boston area.
Jericho Mountain, also known locally as Black Mountain, is a mountain in Coös County, New Hampshire, in the United States. It has an elevation of 2,454 feet (748 m).
Dodge Brook State Forest is a protected area in the town of Lempster, New Hampshire. It was purchased by the state in 1919 for reforestation. It is located on both sides of New Hampshire Route 10 with a larger parcel on the east side. The west parcel abuts Dodge Brook and has been home to stands of larch. The area was logged for spruce a couple years before it was originally purchased.
