Leonard Tyrone Wheeler (born January 15, 1969) is an American former professional football player who was a safety in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 1992 NFL draft. [1] [2] He played college football at Lees-McRae College, Ole Miss, and Troy State. [3]
Wheeler also played for the Minnesota Vikings and Carolina Panthers.

He played college football for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Russell was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 1991 NFL draft with the 14th overall pick. He played from 1991 to 1996 for the Patriots, Denver Broncos, St. Louis Rams, and San Diego Chargers.
