Roy Stanley Emerson is an Australian former tennis player who won 12 Grand Slam singles titles and 16 Grand Slam doubles titles, for a total of 28 Grand Slam titles. He is the only male player to have completed a career Grand Slam in both singles and doubles, and the first of three male players to complete a double career Grand Slam in singles. His 28 major titles are the all-time record for a male player. In 1964, 1965, and 1967 he was ranked world No. 1.
Marc Rosset is a Swiss former professional tennis player. He is best remembered for winning the men's singles gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Games. He also won one Grand Slam doubles title at the French Open in 1992 partnering compatriot Jakob Hlasek.

Lorenzo Manta is a former tennis player from Switzerland, who turned professional in 1992. The right-hander reached his highest ATP singles ranking of World No. 103 in June 2000. His best achievement in the grand slam tournaments was reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon in 1999. There, he had a big upset win over the 1996 Wimbledon champion, Richard Krajicek, in the third round in five sets. Manta was then defeated by Brazil's Gustavo Kuerten in the fourth round. He was 4–0 in Davis Cup doubles matches with Roger Federer.

Also included in the 2019 calendar were the Hopman Cup, the Laver Cup and the Next Gen ATP Finals which do not distribute ranking points. For the Masters series events the ATP introduced a shot clock. Players had a minute to come on court, 5 minutes to warmup, and then a minute to commence play, as well as 25 seconds between points.
