Lesley Belleau is an Anishinaabe writer from Canada. [1] She is most noted for her 2017 poetry collection Indianland, which won the Pat Lowther Award in 2018. [2]
A member of the Garden River First Nation near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, she has studied English literature at the University of Windsor and Indigenous studies at Trent University.
Margaret Eleanor Atwood is a Canadian poet, novelist, literary critic, essayist, teacher, environmental activist, and inventor. Since 1961, she has published 18 books of poetry, 18 novels, 11 books of nonfiction, nine collections of short fiction, eight children's books, two graphic novels, and a number of small press editions of both poetry and fiction. Atwood has won numerous awards and honors for her writing, including two Booker Prizes, the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the Governor General's Award, the Franz Kafka Prize, Princess of Asturias Awards, and the National Book Critics and PEN Center USA Lifetime Achievement Awards. A number of her works have been adapted for film and television.

Sue Sinclair is a Canadian poet. She was raised in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, and studied at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, graduated in 1994 and then continued her education at the University of New Brunswick. She then went on to complete an MA & PhD in Philosophy at the University of Toronto. Sinclair's first collection of poetry, Secrets of Weather and Hope (2001), was a finalist for the 2002 Gerald Lampert Award. Mortal Arguments (2003) was a finalist for the Atlantic Poetry Prize. Her third collection, The Drunken Lovely Bird, won the International Independent Publisher's Award for Poetry. Breaker was a finalist for the Pat Lowther Award and the Atlantic Poetry Prize, and Heaven's Thieves won the Pat Lowther Award.

Lorna Gaye Goodison CD is a Jamaican poet, essayist and memoirist, a leading West Indian writer, whose career spans four decades. She is now Professor Emerita, English Language and Literature/Afroamerican and African Studies at the University of Michigan, previously serving as the Lemuel A. Johnson Professor of English and African and Afroamerican Studies. She was appointed Poet Laureate of Jamaica in 2017, serving in the role until 2020.

Vermette is of Métis descent and originates from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was an MFA student in creative writing at the University of British Columbia.
