Lisa "Lia" Coryell (born 1964) is an American Paralympic archer who competes in international archery competitions. She is a World champion and has competed at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Coryell was a former Army private in 1983 at Fort Dix, she worked as a military truck driver but six months later she broke her leg. She had surgery to fix her broken leg but the nerves in her foot never recovered and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis four years later. She medically retired from the Army in 1984. [5]
The United States sent a delegation to compete at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China. A total of 213 U.S. competitors took part in 18 sports; the only 2 sports Americans did not compete in were soccer 5-a-side and 7-a-side. The American delegation included 16 former members of the U.S. military, including 3 veterans of the Iraq War. Among them were shot putter Scott Winkler, who was paralyzed in an accident in Iraq, and swimmer Melissa Stockwell, a former United States Army officer who lost her left leg to a roadside bomb in the war.

Matthew Stutzman is an American archer. He competed at the 2012 and 2016 Paralympics and won a silver medal in 2012. Born without arms, Stutzman uses his legs and feet for most of his activities, including archery. He holds a world record for the longest accurate shot in the sport.
Zahra Nemati is an Iranian Paralympic and Olympic archer. She originally competed in taekwondo before she was paralyzed in a car accident. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics she won two medals, an individual gold and team bronze. She has qualified to compete at both the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Paralympics. She was the flag bearer at the 2016 Olympics and the postponed 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo where she shared the honour with thrower Nourmohammad Arekhi.
The United States competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 September to 18 September 2016. The first places the team qualified were for three athletes in sailing events. They also qualified athletes in archery, goalball, shooting, swimming, and wheelchair basketball.
Jonathon Milne is an Australian Paralympic archer. In April 2015 he won the National Para Championships, held in Melbourne. He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics where he won a bronze medal. Milne won a bronze medal at the 2023 World Para Archery Championships.
Handan Biroğlu is a Turkish female para-archer competing in the women's compound bow event. She represents her country at the 2016 Paralympics.

Casey Kaufhold is an American archer competing in women's recurve events. She won the silver medal in the women's individual event at the 2021 World Archery Championships held in Yankton, United States. She competed in the women's individual and women's team events at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
Laura Gene Schwanger is a retired American Paralympic athlete and adaptive rower. She has competed at three Paralympic Games in track and field and returned twelve years later to compete in rowing at the 2008 Summer Paralympics. She is a four time Paralympic champion including six silver medals and one bronze medal in athletics and won a bronze medal in rowing.
Lisa Barbelin is a French archer, who won the recurve events at the 2021 European Archery Championships, and 2022 European Indoor Archery Championships. She has previously won multiple medals at the World Youth Archery Championships, and won bronze medals in events at the 2019 and 2022 Archery World Cups. In June 2021 she was the world's number one ranked competitor. Barbelin competed in the women's individual event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Emma Rose Ravish is an American Paralympic archer from Alva, Florida. She is the most successful recurve women open archer in U.S. history. She holds the 70m Para Recurve Open Female national record.
Ben Thompson is an American para-archer since 2014. As a compound archery competitor, Thompson won bronze at the 2015 Parapan American Games. At the World Para Archery Championships, Thompson was first in 2017 and 2019 in the men's open compound. During the men's open compound team events with the United States, Thompson was first in 2015 and third in 2017. He also competed at the 2022 World Para Archery Championships and 2022 World Games.
