Zisabusolo Willy, professionally known as Liam Voice, is a Ugandan singer and songwriter born on 25 April 1998. Liam was born and raised from Kampala District. He is known for soul touching love songs and he is signed under Cloud Africa management. [1]

Early life and education

In 2003, Liam Voice started his education from a primary school known as St. Augustine Primary School and achieved his Primary Leaving Examination certificate. In 2011, he joined Kitebi Senior Secondary School for his ordinary level which he completed successfully. At a young age, Liam Voice had a lot of love for music but he could not join the music industry while at school. [2] During his ordinary level vacation, In 2015, Liam Voice joined the Goodlyfe Crew owned by Radio & Weasle so he can proceed with his dream of being a musician. [3]

He composed a number of songs as a Goodlyfe artiste until in 2018 when he decided to continue with his career as a solo artiste. Liam Voice started professional music but life became so hard since he had no management and had little funds to finance his career. [4]

Career

In 2018, Liam Voice released his first ever music video with Weasle from Goodlyfe Crew and he got a lot of love from fans that loved the late Moses Radio who had passed away months ago because he had similar sounds with the late artiste. [5] After his collaboration with Weasle, Liam Voice released his first single known as "Gwe Abilina" a song he released in 2019.

In 2020, Liam voice released his breakthrough song known as "Bus" which was a tribute and a true story message song. [6] It was loved and he won different accolades with the song. Since then, Liam Voice has released a couple of songs that have had huge reception by music lovers worldwide. [7] In 2023, Liam Voice was named on the Spotify list of artistes to watch in the year 2023, this gave Liam a milestone in his career and increased his media presence. [8]

Liam Voice also does music production, song writing and script writing. He has composed a number of songs for famous Ugandan artistes like Vivian Mimi, Aroma, Martha Mukisa and many other singers. [9]

International

Liam Voice has managed to travel to different countries across the globe and put up brilliant performances for his fans. He has travelled and performed in over eights countries including United Kingdom where he featured Nigerian singer Chike on same stage, [10] he performed in Qatar, [11] Turkey, [12] Sudan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kenya.

Philanthropy

In 2021, Liam Voice started a charitable foundation called Live Like Liam (3L). He donated to the needy children of Busega, Kibumbiro zone in Kampala as a way of motivating and inspiring fellow youth of his generation to always focus on their dreams because it is possible to have a better life after struggle. Liam Voice signed a new ambasodorial deal with Sesa Juice and gave out the money in charities of the 3L foundation. [13]

Personal life

Liam Voice is not currently in any public relationship although rumors say that he is in a secret relationship with fellow singer known as Aroma which he denies publicly. [19]

Blu 3 was a Ugandan Girl group formed in April 2004 after winning the TV show Coca Cola Popstars. The name is contrived to mean 3 Beautiful Ladies from Uganda. Radio & Weasel was a Ugandan music Duo that performed under their record label Goodlyfe Crew a Ugandan music group with lead performers being singers Moses Radio and [Weasel Manizo]. Moses Radio provided smooth RnB vocals while Weasel's contribution is a fusion of reggae, ragga and dancehall vibes. Because of their prominence, Moses Radio and Weasel formed their own duo known as Radio and Weasel. The Lead singer Moses and Vocalist Radio died on 1 February 2018 from brain injuries after an assault by a bouncer at a club in Entebbe. Radio's attacker threw him down about 3 metres (9.8 ft) onto a concrete pavement which resulted in massive intracranial hemorrhage. Radio and Weasel also formed The Goodlyfe Crew. The crew saw many changes in its set-up but at various times included Chagga, Lenin Briton, and Lawrence. Many of its members had their own solo projects and collaborations.

Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo, also known as Mowzey Radio, sometimes referred to as Moses Radio, was a Ugandan musician. He was one of the main performers of the Ugandan music group Goodlyfe Crew together with Jose Chameleone's brother Weasel Manizo.

Aziz Mukisa, professionally known by his stage name Aziz Azion, is a Ugandan R&B singer-songwriter, guitarist and musician. He was born Aziz Mukisa on 27 July 1986 in Fort Portal, Uganda and raised in Kampala where he attended his early school program before making his move into the music industry at an early age. Popularly known as "the guitar emperor", Aziz has graced the Ugandan and East African music charts with the songs 'Yegwe', 'Nkumila Omukwano', 'Nakupenda', 'Oxygen', 'Beera Nange', 'Nzikiriza', 'Pain Killer', and 'Yo Love', among others. Popular music promoter and veteran disc spinner DJ Erycom while appearing on a TV Show, he said that "Leero Monday" was the very first song composed and sung by Aziz Azion in the year 2007.

Swangz Avenue is a Ugandan record label. It was established in 2008 by Ugandan musician and record producer Benon Mugumya.

Reagan Muhairwe, commonly known as Ray G Rhiganz, is a Ugandan singer and songwriter. He mainly sings heritage music in Runyankore. He started singing in 2009 while at school until 2014 when he broke through with his hit song "Amarari". Priscilla Zawedde better known by her stage name Azawi is a Ugandan singer, songwriter and dancer signed by Swangz Avenue in 2019. Her musical genre is Afrobeats in both Luganda and English. She became the first female Ugandan act to appear on the New York "Times Square" and Los Angeles billboards.

Kataleya & Kandle is a Ugandan music duo consisting of the Kataleya & Kandle. The duo holds the distinction of being Uganda's first female music duo. They are managed by Theron Music Records since 2021.

Born To Conquer (B2C) Entertainment, also known as Kampala Boys, is a Ugandan music group of three musicians who sing together. B2C is made of [Delivad Julio], [Mr. Lee B2C] and [Bobby Lash B2C]. Delivad Julio and Mr. Lee sing with soothing soft RnB vocals while Bobby Lash B2C sings the Ragga and dancehall vibes. The three formed B2C entertainment from school as they were students at Crested secondary school in Makindye Division in Kampala. Because of their consistency, the trio decided to start professional music in 2016 with their breakthrough song known as Tokigeza produced by Diggy Baur.
