"Lick" is a song by American funk/soul singer Joi, It was written by Joi Gilliam, Sleepy Brown, Rico Wade, Brandon Bennett, Raymon Ameer Murrey and produced by Joi for her third studio album Star Kitty's Revenge and later appeared in the film xXx and its soundtrack. Becoming an instant cult favorite courtesy of the film, this remains Gilliam's most successful single to date. A music video was never shot due to Gilliam parting ways with the music label and joining then fellow Lucy Pearl bandmate Raphael Saadiq's Pookie Entertainment label at the time of its success. [1] The song would later be sampled in rapper Gucci Mane's 2007 hit single "Freaky Gurl". [2]

"I'm So Famous" is the first single from American R&B singer, Joi, from her fourth album Tennessee Slim Is the Bomb. Recorded in 2004, the song was one of few songs chosen to lead the album for its Fall 2004 release on Raphael Saadiq's boutique label Pookie Entertainment. The album's release was delayed due to issues within the label and the single's release was canceled. After an amicable leave from the label, Gilliam made preparation's for the album's release in late 2005 through her own label Joilicious Music. In October 2005, "I'm So Famous" made a strong debut on college & internet radio. Nearly three months after the release of Tennessee Slim Is the Bomb, it would debut on mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop radio outlets. Receiving little airplay, digital sales for the single were strong becoming Gilliam's second best selling single to date.

He rose to fame in 2020 from his collaborations with the rapper and other artists within the label. He is perhaps best known for his 2020 single, "Back in Blood" featuring rapper Lil Durk. Pooh Shiesty released his debut commercial mixtape, Shiesty Season, on February 5, 2021, which peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200. His stage name was given by his late brother, and it comes from his childhood nickname "Mr. Pooh", and the name "Shiesty", referring to his lifestyle. He received a co-sign from fellow Memphis rapper Juicy J.
