Lifetime Lab is a visitor centre located in the old Victorian waterworks along the River Lee in the city of Cork. Cork City Council undertook a restoration and conservation project, [1] completed in 2005, to transform the industrial buildings into a new centre focused on environmental issues, science, education, and Cork's industrial heritage. Ballincollig is a suburban town within the administrative area of Cork city in Ireland. It is located on the western side of Cork city, beside the River Lee on the R608 regional road. In 2016 it was the largest town in County Cork, at which time the Ballincollig Electoral Division had a population of 18,621 people. The nearest towns include Ballinora, Carrigrohane, Kilnaglory, Ovens, Killumney, Inniscarra, Blarney, and Tower. It is located beyond the green belt from the suburbs of Bishopstown and Wilton.

Mahon is an area to the south-eastern side of Cork, Ireland. Mahon gets its name from Lough Mahon, a wide stretch of the upper section of Cork Harbour. Ashgrove is an inner suburb of the City of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) north-west of the Brisbane CBD. Ashgrove is an upmarket, leafy residential suburb characterised by its hilly terrain and characteristic Ashgrovian houses built in the early 20th century. Douglas is a village and suburb contained within Cork city, Ireland and the name given to the Roman Catholic, Church of Ireland and Civil parish in which it is contained. Originally a village, the growth of both the village and the city has meant Douglas has become incorporated into the city over time. The 2017 Mackinnon Report proposed that Douglas and surrounding residential areas be moved to within an extended Cork city boundary, ending the division of Douglas between the city and county administrative areas. This was approved by the Cabinet on 6 June 2018, with Douglas and surrounding areas Rochestown, Grange and Frankfield to move into the city council area following the 2019 local elections. This change occurred on 31 May 2019, ending the divide between the separated halves of Douglas.
Haulbowline, is the name of an island in Cork Harbour off the coast of Ireland. The world's first yacht club was founded on Haulbowline in 1720. The western side of the island is the main naval base and headquarters for the Irish Naval Service, with the eastern side previously used for heavy industry. Since 1966 the island has been connected to the mainland by a roadbridge.
Ballintemple is a suburb of Cork city, Ireland. The village is situated on the east side of the city with its limits extending to the River Lee and the village of Blackrock further to the east. Originally, Ballintemple was a separate village but today it has been enclosed by the city.
