Nigerian Idol is the local version of the Idol series franchise. It is the second Idol franchise for the country as it was already part of Idols West Africa which was also shot and produced in Stockholm, Sweden.
The 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards took place on 31 August 2014, at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The eligibility period was from March 2013 to March 2014. In April 2014, the NEA reviewing committee began collecting submissions for the 2014 edition. The deadline for submission was April 30, 2014, and the nominations were announced on May 29, 2014. Tiwa Savage and Davido received the most nominations with 5 each. Don Jazzy, Flavour N'abania and Wizkid all got four nominations each, while Olamide, Patoranking, Chidinma and Oritse Femi followed closely with three nominations.
Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by her stage name Simi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. She started her career as a gospel singer, releasing her debut studio album in 2008, titled Ogaju. She also played as one of the top judges in season 7 of the Nigerian idol TV show in 2022. She gained public recognition in 2014 after releasing "Tiff", a song that was nominated for Best Alternative Song at The Headies 2015. Simi signed a record deal with X3M Music in 2014, but left the label in May 2019 following the expiration of her contract. She released her second studio album Simisola on September 8, 2017. Her third studio album Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1 was released to coincide with her thirty-first birthday on April 19, 2019. She launched her record label Studio Brat in June 2019.
Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, popularly known by his stage name Chike, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actor. He gained prominence by participating in the Nigerian reality competition Project Fame West Africa. Additionally, he showcased his talents on The Voice Nigeria, where he achieved the second position during Season 1. Chike ventured into acting by making his debut as Mayowa Badmus on the Africa Magic Showcase telenovela Battleground. He also appeared in the production Gang of Lagos, portraying the character Ify.
Joseph Omo Ebhodaghe,, popularly known as Joe Praize, is a Nigerian gospel singer, praise and worship leader, songwriter and music director who rose to popularity following the release of his hit song "Mighty God" off his debut album My Praise.
Mercy Nnenda Chinwo professionally known as Mercy Chinwo but currently known as Mercy Chinwo-Blessed is a Nigerian Gospel Musician, singer, actress and songwriter. She was signed to EeZee Conceptz in 2017. In 2018, she released the single "Excess Love".
The Experience is an annual, free gospel music concert held at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos Island, Nigeria. Begun and hosted by House on the Rock lead pastor Paul Adefarasin in 2006, the first concert had an attendance of 70,000 people.

Princess Osayomwanbor Peters better known by her stage name Princess Peters is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, recording and performing artist, actress, film producer, and philanthropist. Samuel Onwubiko, known by his stage name Limoblaze is a Nigerian gospel singer-songwriter and rapper. He is well known for the hit song "Jireh " with Lecrae and Happi, a reworking of "Jireh" by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music; the song made it to the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs of 2022, Official Charts No. 15, and won several other nominations including The Headies and The Stellar Awards.

Moses Uyoh Enang, popularly known as Moses Bliss, is a Nigerian gospel singer, worship leader and songwriter. He is the founder of Spotlite Nation, a Nigerian record label. Bliss released his first single in January 2017 titled "E No Dey Fall My Hand" and rose to prominence with the 2019 song "Too Faithful". In 2020, he won the Loveworld International Music and Arts Award by Chris Oyakhilome for his song "You I Live for".
Agaga Praise Kukeurim well known by the stage name Yadah, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and worship leader. Her official debut in the music scene was in 2017 following the release of her first single “Goodie Goodie”. She then released her first EP in 2018 titled “The Blood Covenant,” and her first album, “The Love Story,” in August 2021. She is well known for the hit songs “Beyond Me,” “Free of Charge,” “Onye Inaputara,” “Na Your Hand,” and “Out of Nothing.”
Michael Olayinka Abdul, popularly known as Mike Abdul, is a Nigerian gospel singer, music producer and songwriter. He served as an executive officer at Midnight Crew Music Limited. He has worked with several Nigerian gospel artists and music producers which include MoniQue, Tim Godfrey and others.
Judith Kanayo-Opara, better known by her stage name Judikay is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter and worship leader. She gained popularity for her 2019 single "More than Gold". She released her first single, "Nobody Else", in 2013 and released her debut album, Man of Galilee, in November 2019.
Ebuka Emmanuel Hillary known professionally as Ebuka Songs is a Nigerian gospel artiste and songwriter. He came to recognition with the hit single “I will pray”. He was signed under the record label Spotlite Nation by Moses Bliss in 2023.
Ojonimi Abraham Ejigbo better known by the stage name Nimix, is a Nigerian Afro gospel singer and songwriter. He is well known for the hit song “Sapa no fit catch me”, which was released in 2021
