Lighthill Music is a Nigerian gospel group. Based in Lagos, [1] the ensemble was formed in 2023. [2]

Background

Established by Faleye Olusola John, with the sole aim of discovering and developing gospel artists. [3] Independent Nigeria wrote that "LightHill Music has spread wide with success and the community is ever growing." [4]

Prior to its establishment, Lighthill Music collaborated with Access Bank plc on talent discovery and unveiling of its artist. [5]

In 2023, Lighthill Music released "Anyi Abiawo" with Okeychuks featuring Mercy Chinwo, [6] and a follow up single entitled "No Weapon" an afro-gospel song in collaboration with Ify Benson, which it’s dance routine became known on social media. [7]

Lighthill Music signed a licensing contract with DistroKid to distribute their music to streaming services. [1]

The community released "Lifter of My Head", Its official video was premiered on Trace Gospel TV. In 2023, Lighthill Music songs received rational air-plays on various radio stations across Nigeria. [1]

Nigerian Idol is the local version of the Idol series franchise. It is the second Idol franchise for the country as it was already part of Idols West Africa which was also shot and produced in Stockholm, Sweden.

The 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards took place on 31 August 2014, at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The eligibility period was from March 2013 to March 2014. In April 2014, the NEA reviewing committee began collecting submissions for the 2014 edition. The deadline for submission was April 30, 2014, and the nominations were announced on May 29, 2014. Tiwa Savage and Davido received the most nominations with 5 each. Don Jazzy, Flavour N'abania and Wizkid all got four nominations each, while Olamide, Patoranking, Chidinma and Oritse Femi followed closely with three nominations.

Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by her stage name Simi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. She started her career as a gospel singer, releasing her debut studio album in 2008, titled Ogaju. She also played as one of the top judges in season 7 of the Nigerian idol TV show in 2022. She gained public recognition in 2014 after releasing "Tiff", a song that was nominated for Best Alternative Song at The Headies 2015. Simi signed a record deal with X3M Music in 2014, but left the label in May 2019 following the expiration of her contract. She released her second studio album Simisola on September 8, 2017. Her third studio album Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1 was released to coincide with her thirty-first birthday on April 19, 2019. She launched her record label Studio Brat in June 2019.

Mercy Nnenda Chinwo professionally known as Mercy Chinwo but currently known as Mercy Chinwo-Blessed is a Nigerian Gospel Musician, singer, actress and songwriter. She was signed to EeZee Conceptz in 2017. In 2018, she released the single "Excess Love".

The Experience is an annual, free gospel music concert held at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos Island, Nigeria. Begun and hosted by House on the Rock lead pastor Paul Adefarasin in 2006, the first concert had an attendance of 70,000 people.

He is well known for the hit song "Jireh " with Lecrae and Happi, a reworking of "Jireh" by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music; the song made it to the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs of 2022, Official Charts No. 15, and won several other nominations including The Headies and The Stellar Awards.

Ojonimi Abraham Ejigbo better known by the stage name Nimix, is a Nigerian Afro gospel singer and songwriter. He is well known for the hit song “Sapa no fit catch me”, which was released in 2021
