Hastings Kamuzu Banda was a Malawian politician and statesman who served as the leader of Malawi from 1964 to 1994. He served as Prime Minister from independence in 1964 to 1966, when Malawi was a Dominion/Commonwealth realm. In 1966, the country became a republic and he became the first president as a result, ruling until his defeat in 1994.

Joyce Hilda Banda is a Malawian politician, who served as President of Malawi, from 7 April 2012 to 31 May 2014. Banda took office as President following the sudden death of President Bingu wa Mutharika. She is the founder and leader of the People's Party, created in 2011. An educator and grassroots women's rights activist, she was the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2009 and the Vice-President of Malawi from May 2009 to April 2012. She has served in various roles as a member of Parliament and as Minister of Gender and Child Welfare before she became the President of the Republic of Malawi.
William Kamkwamba, is a Malawian inventor, engineer, and author. He gained renown in his country in 2001 when he built a wind turbine to power multiple electrical appliances in his family's house in Wimbe, 23 kilometres (14 mi) east of Kasungu, using blue gum trees, bicycle parts, and materials collected in a local scrapyard. Since then, he has built a solar-powered water pump that supplies the first drinking water in his village and two other wind turbines, the tallest standing at 12 meters (39 ft), and has built two more, including one in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi.

Deep State is a British espionage thriller television series, written and created by Matthew Parkhill and Simon Maxwell, first broadcast in the United Kingdom on Fox on 5 April 2018. The first eight-part series, which began filming in May 2017, stars Mark Strong as Max Easton, a former field agent for MI6 who is recruited back into the field. The series co-starred Walton Goggins, Joe Dempsie, Karima Adebibe, Lyne Renée, Anastasia Griffith and Alistair Petrie.
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind is a 2019 drama film written, directed by and starring Chiwetel Ejiofor in his feature directorial debut. The film is based on the memoir of the same name by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer. It was screened in the Premieres section at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and began streaming in most territories on Netflix on 1 March 2019. It was selected as the British entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. It received widely positive reviews with praise going to Ejiofor's direction and the acting.
The Adventures of Paddington is an animated children's television series developed by Jon Foster and James Lamont. It is based on the Paddington Bear stories written by Michael Bond. The series is co-produced by Heyday Films and StudioCanal, with the participation of Nickelodeon, M6 and Piwi+. The animation for the series is produced by Blue-Zoo Animation Studio and Superprod Studio. The series airs on Nickelodeon internationally, except in France where the series airs on Gulli and later on M6 and Piwi+.
Lily Ki, better known as LilyPichu, is an American online streamer, voice actress, artist and YouTuber. She is a member of OfflineTV, an online group of content creators, and was one of the most subscribed female Twitch streamers in the late 2010s and early 2020s. She remains one of the most followed female streamers on the platform. As a voice actress, she is most well-known for the voice of Genshin Impact character Sayu and the English dub voice of Muni Ohnaruto in D4DJ First Mix. Ki began creating videos on YouTube in June 2010 and streaming on Twitch in August 2012. After ten years of streaming on Twitch, she signed an exclusive contract with YouTube in July 2022 and announced the move to the platform. However, as of July 12, 2024, Ki returned to streaming on Twitch after her contract deal with YouTube expired.

Supa Team 4 is an animated television series created by Malenga Mulendema for Netflix. It was co-produced by Triggerfish Animation Studios and Cake Entertainment, and animated at Superprod Studio. Season 1 premiered on July 20, 2023 and Season 2 premiered on December 21, 2023. It has been described as the first original African animated series on the streaming platform.

He is the author of four books: All Things Must Fight to Live about his experiences covering war in the Congo, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, Muck City about high school football in a rural African American communities in Florida, and The Kings of Big Spring about his family history in Texas. He has written for publications including The Guardian and Texas Monthly. The 2019 film The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind was adapted from the book.
"Zero for Conduct" is a science-fiction short story by Australian writer Greg Egan, first published in Twelve Tomorrows edited by Stephen Cass in September 2013. The short story was included in the anthology The Year's Best Science Fiction: Thirty-First Annual Collection edited by Gardner Dozois in July 2014 as well as the collections The Best of Greg Egan in 2019 and Instantiation in 2020.
