Lily Marie Donoghue (born January 19, 1998) is an American actress best known for her roles as Marty Coolidge in the Blumhouse horror film Black Christmas (2019), and Lisa Crowne in the Amazon Prime series Daisy Jones & the Six (2023).
Donoghue was born in Stamford, Connecticut to Michael and Dawn Ann (née Lally) Donoghue, [1] [2] and was raised in Sarasota, Florida. She has a twin brother, Liam. In her younger years before acting, Donoghue competed as an award-winning national rower for the Sarasota Crew [3] and as a swimmer in the Junior Olympics. [4]
In 2017, Donoghue guest starred in the AMC network series Halt and Catch Fire . From 2017 to 2019 she made guest appearances in Grey's Anatomy , The Goldbergs and Jane the Virgin . After filming Grey's Anatomy , Ellen Pompeo became a mentor to Donoghue. [5]
It was reported in 2018 that Donoghue had been cast in season 2 of the Netflix streaming series Dirty John as Tracy Broderick, a character based on Betty Broderick's daughter, Kim Broderick [6] alongside Christian Slater and Amanda Peet. [7] On August 1, 2018, it was announced that Donoghue would lead the Hulu drama pilot, Less Than Zero, alongside Austin Abrams and Cooper Koch, which was an adaptation of Brett Easton Ellis's novel of the same name. [8]
Donoghue made her feature film debut in 2019 portraying Marty Coolidge in Sophia Takal's Black Christmas reboot with a cast including Imogen Poots, Aleyse Shannon, Brittany O'Grady and Cary Elwes. She has revealed that all four of the primary female leads auditioned for the main role of Riley Stone, which eventually went to Poots. [9] [10] In 2021, she appeared in the independent film Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets.
In 2023, Donoghue guest starred as Lisa Crowne, Where she played a movie star who marries one of the band members of The Six in the Amazon Prime Video streaming drama series Daisy Jones & the Six . [5]

Dirty John is an American true crime anthology television series, based on the podcast of the same name by Christopher Goffard, that premiered on November 25, 2018, on Bravo. Outside the United States, it was made available through Netflix on February 14, 2019. The series was created by Alexandra Cunningham also an executive producer alongside Richard Suckle, Charles Roven, Mark Herzog, Christopher G. Cowen, and Chris Argentieri. The series was initially given an order for two seasons. In May 2019, it was announced that the series will be moving from Bravo to USA Network, ahead of the premiere of the second season. The second season is titled Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story. A trailer for the season was released on March 25, 2020, featuring Christian Slater and Amanda Peet in the role of Betty Broderick. In April 2020, it was announced that the second season would premiere on June 2, 2020, with a sneak peek of the first episode of the second season airing on May 31, 2020.

Black Christmas is a Canadian-American horror film series that comprises three standalone slasher films, as well as a novelization. Only Murders in the Building, often abbreviated as OMITB, is an American mystery comedy-drama television series created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. The main plot focuses on a trio of strangers, all with a shared interest in true crime podcasts, who become friends while investigating a succession of suspicious murders in the Arconia, their affluent Upper West Side apartment building, and producing their own podcast about the cases, titled Only Murders in the Building.
