Lima Christian School is a private Christian school located in Lima, New York. It serves grades kindergarten through 12.
The school was founded in 1974 by Lima Baptist Church Pastor Noah Stoltzfus.
Lima, founded in 1535 as the Ciudad de los Reyes, is the capital and largest city of Peru. His 1971 book A Theology of Liberation is considered pivotal to the formation of liberation theology. Alceu Amoroso Lima was a writer, journalist, activist from Brazil, and founder of the Brazilian Christian Democracy. He adopted the pseudonym Tristão de Ataíde in 1919. In 1928 he converted to Catholicism and eventually became head of Catholic Action in Brazil. Although he initially had some sympathy for certain aims of Brazilian integralism he became a strong opponent of authoritarianism in general and Fascism in particular. That came in part through the influence of Jacques Maritain. He was a staunch advocate for press freedom during the period of military dictatorship.

Galarreta was part of the presidential ticket of Keiko Fujimori in the 2021 elections that lost the elections to the Pedro Castillo ticket, however, he was elected to the Andean Parliament.
Raúl Eduardo Castro Stagnaro is a Peruvian lawyer and politician who is a former Congressman, representing Lima elected in the 2006 election under the National Unity list for the 2006–2011 term. In the 2016 election, Castro Stagnaro tried to run for Congress again in the Lima constituency, under the Popular Alliance under number 2 of the list, which grouped Alan García’s APRA, and the Christian People's Party, but he was not elected. In party level, he served as President of the Christian People's Party from 2011 and 2016. He was also its party Secretary General from 2006 and 2011 and as Vice President of the Party from 1999 to 2006.

The history of the Jews in Peru dates back to the country's Spanish period with the arrival of migration flows of Sephardic Jews from Europe, the Near East and Northern Africa.
