Lincoln Center is a multi-building office complex in Tigard, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1981, the six-building complex was built over a decade and includes the 12-story Lincoln Tower, the tallest building in Washington County. [5] Located on S.W. Greenburg Road at Oregon Route 217, Lincoln Center is adjacent to the Washington Square shopping mall in the Portland metropolitan area.

Tigard, Oregon City in Oregon, United States

Tigard is a city in Washington County, Oregon, United States. The population was 48,035 at the 2010 census. As of 2007, Tigard was the state's 12th largest city. Incorporated in 1961, the city is located south of Beaverton and north of Tualatin, and is part of the Portland metropolitan area. Interstate 5 and Oregon Route 217 are the main freeways in the city, with Oregon Route 99W and Oregon Route 210 serving as other major highways. Public transit service is provided by TriMet, via several bus routes and the WES Commuter Rail line.

History

Developed by the Trammell Crow Company beginning in 1980, the first building at Lincoln Center was completed in 1981. [2] [6] Additional buildings were completed in 1985, 1988, and 1989. [2] The complex was annexed by Tigard in 1986 after a state commission decided in their favor over Beaverton and Portland. [7] In 1990, Trammell Crow sold the property to the Japanese firm Seiyu International Corporation, headed by Yashimitsu Misawa, for $120 million. [8]

Beaverton is a city in Washington County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. The city center is 7 miles (11 km) west of downtown Portland in the Tualatin River Valley. As of the 2010 census, the population is 89,803. This makes it the second-largest city in the county and Oregon's sixth-largest city. Fire protection are provided through Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, EMS services are provided by Metro West Ambulance

Portland is the largest and most populous city in the U.S. state of Oregon and the seat of Multnomah County. It is a major port in the Willamette Valley region of the Pacific Northwest, at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers. As of 2017, Portland had an estimated population of 647,805, making it the 26th-largest city in the United States, and the second-most populous in the Pacific Northwest. Approximately 2.4 million people live in the Portland metropolitan statistical area (MSA), making it the 25th most populous MSA in the United States. Its Combined Statistical Area (CSA) ranks 18th-largest with a population of around 3.2 million. Approximately 60% of Oregon's population resides within the Portland metropolitan area.

Misawa was assisted in the transaction by state representative and former Tigard mayor Tom Brian, who received a $2 million commission for the sale. [9] Brian faced formal ethics violations for his role and for accepting campaign contributions from the company and Misawa by the state, as well as charges by the Oregon Real Estate Agency for operating without a license, and a lawsuit by Misawa for an inflated sale price. [8] He settled the lawsuit with Misawa and repaid part of the $2 million commission while Misawa was later arrested in Japan for various fraud charges concerning this and other real estate transactions. [8] The ethics charges against Brian were latter dismissed. [9]

The Oregon House of Representatives is the lower house of the Oregon Legislative Assembly. There are 60 members of the House, representing 60 districts across the state, each with a population of 65,000. The House meets at the Oregon State Capitol in Salem.

In December 1991, Seiyu Corporation sold the complex to Sanyo Finance Company Ltd. for $102.7 million. [10] Geese made news in 1991 and 1992 after nesting on the balcony of one of the towers. [11] In 1995, SF Oregon Company (a subsidiary of Sanyo Finance Co. Ltd.) put the property up for sale with a listed price of $100 million. [6] In 1996, Knickerbocker Properties (owned by the New York State Teachers Retirement System) purchased Lincoln Center for $89.4 million. [12]

Knickerbocker placed the complex on sale in 2000, [13] with Spieker Properties Inc. buying the center for $118 million in July 2000. [14] Spieker was acquired by EQ Office in March 2001. [15] The building was used in an earthquake response drill by county groups in April 2003. [5] EQ Office sold Lincoln Center in 2007 to Shorenstein Properties. [16]

EQ Office is a real estate investment company that owns 80 office properties comprising 40 million square feet. The company is owned by funds managed by The Blackstone Group. The company was formerly known as Equity Office.

Shorenstein Properties is a real estate investment company that owns interests in 22 million square feet of office space, including 7 million square feet of space in San Francisco, where it is one of the city's largest office landlords. The company has sponsored 11 real estate funds with total equity commitments of $7.9 billion, including $648.5 million from the company.

Completed in 1981, 1 Lincoln Center is five stories tall. [2] 2 Lincoln Center and 3 Lincoln Center are six stories tall and were built in 1985. [2] The newest building, 5 Lincoln Center, was finished in 1989 and is seven stories tall. [2] Located in the Portland metropolitan area, the complex is in the city of Tigard, but uses a Portland mailing address. [17] Lincoln Center is at S.W. Greenburg Road and Oregon Route 217 across from the Washington Square shopping mall. [18] The six-building complex sits on 23 acres (0.093 km2) acres and contains 743,000 square feet (69,000 m2) of leasable space, primarily office space with some retail space as well. [6] The grounds of the center include a duck pond. [11] Exteriors of the office buildings are faced with steel and red bricks. [8] In addition to office buildings, the center includes parking garages. [18]

Lincoln Tower

Finished in 1988, Lincoln Tower or Lincoln Center Tower stands 12 stories tall. [2] Built at a cost of $14 million, it measures 154 feet (47 m) in height. [1] [3] The skyscraper was built on 6.8 acres (0.028 km2) and is the tallest building in Washington County. [1] [4] As the tallest, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue use the building for training in fighting fires in high-rise buildings. [19] Lincoln Tower includes a helicopter landing pad on the roof of the 220,000 square feet (20,000 m2) building. [4]

Located in the Portland metropolitan area along Oregon Route 217, the shopping complex is one of the top grossing malls per square foot in the United States, with sales of $716/ft². Opened in 1973, the mall is currently managed and co-owned by The Macerich Company, a real estate investment trust, and is anchored by Macy's, Nordstrom, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods. Original anchor Sears closed its location at Washington Square in early 2019.

Hillsboro Civic Center city hall

The Hillsboro Civic Center is a government-built, mixed-use development in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. The development includes the city hall for the county seat of Washington County, located west of Portland, Oregon. Covering 6 acres (24,000 m2), the Civic Center has a total of over 165,000 square feet (15,300 m2) in the complex. The total of six stories for the main structure makes the building the tallest in the city, tied with Tuality Community Hospital. In addition to government offices, the Civic Center includes retail space, public plazas, and residential housing. The complex was built to centralize city government functions under one roof.

Lincoln Tower Heliport is a private heliport located in Tigard in Washington County, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1988, the pad is situated atop the 12-story Lincoln Center building. Helicopters can only land and take off between 8 A.M. and 6 P.M. with the flight pattern designated over the neighboring Washington Square mall. There are no refueling, storage, or maintenance facilities at the pad and only tenants of the office complex may use the heliport.

Hilton Portland Hotel

The Hilton Portland Downtown and Duniway Hotel are a pair of Hilton-brand hotels located in downtown Portland, Oregon. The original 22-story, 240-foot (73 m) tower was completed in 1962 and was named the Hilton Portland. The second tower with 20 floors, located kitty-corner from the original building, to the northeast, was completed in 2002 and was originally named the Hilton Executive Tower, until its renaming as The Duniway Hotel in 2017. The 1962 building was the tallest building in the city for three years until surpassed by the Harrison West Condominium Tower in 1965.

Tualatin station

Tualatin is a commuter rail station in Tualatin, Oregon, United States. Situated between Wilsonville station and Tigard Transit Center on Southwest Boones Ferry Road, it is the second of five stops northbound of TriMet's Westside Express Service line, which links the cities of Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, and Wilsonville and provides a connection to MAX Light Rail at Beaverton Transit Center.

Faced with red brick, the structure is 263 feet (80 m) tall and has 265,000 square feet (24,600 m2) of space. Opened in 1975 at a cost of $16 million, the building was designed by Wolff, Zimmer, Gunsul, Frasca. Originally named the Benjamin Franklin Plaza after tenant Benj. Franklin Savings and Loan, the building was later renamed after current tenant Umpqua Holdings Corporation.

Kaiser Westside Medical Center Hospital in Oregon, United States

Kaiser Westside Medical Center is a hospital in the Tanasbourne neighborhood in Hillsboro in the U.S. state of Oregon. Opened in August 2013 with 126 hospital beds, the Kaiser Permanente facility is planned to later expand to 174 beds. It was designed by Ellerbe Becket Architects and Petersen Kolberg & Associates Architects/Planners. Shute Park Plaza

Shute Park Plaza is a shopping center located in Hillsboro, in the U.S. state of Oregon. Situated along Tualatin Valley Highway, the 18-tenant center takes its name from Shute Park, which is located across the highway. The land the mall sits on was once part of the park, housing a baseball diamond. Shute Park Plaza opened in 1985 at a cost of $6 million.

First & Main

First & Main is a 17-story, 210.34 ft (64.11 m) office tower in downtown Portland, Oregon, at First and Main streets. The building was completed in 2010 at a cost of $100 million with Hoffman Construction Company as the general contractor for developer Shorenstein Properties.

World Trade Center (Portland, Oregon)

The World Trade Center is a three-building office complex in Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. The main building, One World Trade Center, is a 17-story office tower that is the fifth-largest office tower in Portland with 474,867 sq ft (44,116.6 m2). Completed in 1977, One World Trade Center is 230 feet (70 m) tall and is topped by a heliport. The complex is operated by the World Trade Center Properties and is the headquarters for Portland General Electric. There is also a 220-seat theater, known as the World Trade Center Auditorium.

Hoffman Construction Company is a privately held construction founded in 1922. It is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. It also has an office location in Seattle. With a revenue of $1.4 billion USD in FY2017, Hoffman was the 4th largest privately held company in Oregon and SW Washington by revenue in FY2017. It was the second largest general contractor in the Portland metro area in April 2019.

Hassalo on Eighth

The Hassalo on Eighth is a multi-building, mixed-use high-rise building located in the Lloyd District of Portland, Oregon, United States. Completed in 2015, the tallest tower rises to a height of 265 ft (81 m). The three-building development contains both residential and commercial space.
